Brock House offers self-catering accommodation in a newly built detached house located in the picturesque Eastern Scottish Borders. Conveniently located, Brock House is an excellent base for travelling and exploring the major tourist attractions in this part of the United Kingdom, also with ready access to the great outdoors; including walks, beautiful surfing beaches and diving locations, as well as access to cycling on quiet country roads, or more energetic mountain biking. The property itself offers bright airy spacious accommodation split over two levels. Tastefully furnished throughout with modern fixtures and fittings. Open plan kitchen and dining area, separate living room, two double bedrooms (one with en-suite), one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. The property can comfortably sleep seven people and a guest bed is available by request. The property benefits from a large private driveway and enclosed private rear garden. Open views to the countryside can be enjoyed to the rear of the property.

The Scottish Borders region

Grantshouse Village is in a quiet location with ready access to the main A1 road. It is situated half way between the historic Scottish coastal town of Dunbar, and the historic walled town of Berwick upon Tweed, England’s most northerly town (both within 15 minutes drive). The Eastern Scottish Borders boasts a wealth of historic places of interest, and slightly further afield in the North of Northumberland, major tourist attractions such as Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle & Gardens. Sea angling is available locally, and permits for river fishing on the renowned Salmon river, The Tweed, can be obtained.

Traditional fishing villages of Eyemouth, Coldingham and St Abbs and some of the inland villages offer access to traditional inns where you can enjoy locally sourced fresh fish and produce, and visit local museums and places of interest. The small town of Duns hosts the Jim Clark Rally annually in June. The minor country roads offer lovely cycle routes. Beach, surfing and diving access within a 10 minute drive.

"A beautiful house in a beautiful part of the world."

Brock House is a lovely detached building, situated in a quiet, yet convenient location. Comprising a comfortable lounge and large dining kitchen downstairs, with plenty of space for a party of 8. All bedrooms and bathrooms are fitted out to a high standard.

It was a lovely touch to find coffee and biscuits on our arrival, which we all enjoyed while cooking dinner. Thank you.

I will recommend Brock House to anyone visiting the area and would certainly come back if we visit the area in the future.

"Brock house review"

It was agreat opportunity to have a break at Brocke house. We had a very lovely stay, the house was immaculately clean when we got there. it is so specious and was enough for us all. It is a very quiet area, ideal for families with children like us. We enjoyed the surrounding areas, coastal walks, shops and the beach. Problem was sorted out promptly. We would definitley recommend brock house to family and friends and would go back if we are to visit that area again. We would give a review score of 10/10.

"A home from home, perfect for a relaxed holiday"

We truly enjoyed our stay at Brock House. It's a great house: spacious, luxurious, with lovely dining kitchen that offers great views over the fields with grazing sheep, a cosy lounge and immaculate bedrooms and bathroom. Would definitely come back to stay here again if we would want another break in the same region.

"An excellent choice for us that exceeded our expectations"

Everything about Brock House was excellent and surpassed other properties we have used in Europe and in USA for comfort and facilities. The house was meticulously clean with an ample supply of linen and kitchen ware; spacious and very comfortable. It certainly met the needs of our family party of 5 adults and 6 month old twin girls. An added unexpected delight were the Jacob Sheep and their lambs in the field behind the back garden. They seemed to like the lusher grass near the garden fence and were quite tame. The nearby Cedar Cafe was also a definite plus which on occasion we used as a breakfast takeaway (bacon rolls are good) The menu extends to full meals and is open from 8 to 8 Monday to Friday but closes earlier at the weekend around 5. Not mentioned by other reviewers but also a plus is the Grantshouse Inn which is a 5 minute walk away. It is only open over the weekend and doesn't do food but very welcoming and entertaining. As others have said Brock House is well situated for visiting coastal towns to the south and north as well as border towns inland. All have something to offer are easy to get to by car and worth a visit

"amazing cant wait to go back!"

Myself and group of friends have just returned after staying at new year. Lovely 4 bedroom modern house with ensuite shower in main bedroom, lovely bathroom with roll top deep bath. Ideal for familys/dogs as it has an enclosed garden, big kitchen. Drive big enough for four cars. Property was spotless and beds comfy and very well equipt, needed nothing but food and clothes. Only half hour drive to nearest shops either asda at dunbar or eyemouth where there is a beach to. Pub 1/4 mile along the road which has a path to get there. Will definetly return to this property, myself and friends had a great time, owner also had little personal touches, hamper and xmas tree.

"everything we expected a beautiful house in lovely surroundings"

we arrived on christmas eve and were delighted to find a real christmas tree in the lounge which the children loved and to add to thier excitment there were sheep outside in the field behind the house .All the rooms were very comfortable. The Kitchen had everything we required and was very spacious.This was a very quiet setting and perfect for a family get together. We all had a lovely christmas break and would gladly return to this lovey house

"Fantastic house - ideal location for exploring the Borders coastline"

The ideal base for our stay with friends. The children loved the house - lots of space in the for four children and four adults. Very nicely decorated, warm and comfortable. Only 10 minutes drive from the stunning coastline around St Abbs. Some really good coastal walks nearby. We will be back.
