Situated in the beautiful tree-lined Square in Grantown-on-Spey, 11 The Square is an elegant holiday house sleeping up to six people. This Grade II listed Georgian townhouse is ideally suited for families or groups and combines fresh contemporary style, relaxed comfort and elegant original features.

The area is at the very heart of the Cairngorms National Park and is perfect for enjoying a wide variety of pursuits, from historic castle visits and touring through the magnificent Speyside scenery, to many outdoor activities for the more energetic: walking, skiing, golfing and fishing all being within close range. The house is just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful natural Scots pinewood of Anagach Woods with several waymarked forest trails where an abundance of wildlife, including deer, red squirrels, and capercaillie abounds. The picturesque village of Grantown-on-Spey is on the doorstep and ideal for a little gentle shopping in the many unusual gift shops and independent stores as well as a choice of quality tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants.

The house is spread over 3 floors and sleeps 6. In the 2 upper floors there are 2 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms and a fresh modern family bathroom. On the ground floor there is a comfortable lounge / diner, modern kitchen and downstairs cloakroom. The house is fully equipped for a family friendly holiday.

"Well located, comfortable house."

Very comfortable and well decorated house with good level of facilities. Set in a good location for exploring the area. Close to supermarket and restaurants.

"Sophisticated comfort and character within walking distance to everything - great for families and those without"

Have visited this property twice - once with family and it was great to be within walking distance to the supermarket, shops, bike tracks and amazing walks from short to quite substantial. The kids felt they could be independent with lots of wee shops nearby and yet we felt they were completely safe with road crossings around. Lovely bedrooms and decor throughout - and two bathrooms. Dining table in the main room but easy from the kitchen and sat outside in very large garden too. There is lots to do nearby - Landmark, Inverness, swimming pool and Highland zoo - good time had by all. Came again with one friend for walking break last summer and again it was a great place to be based for different reasons - the main one being we could walk out to restaurants and bars and not have the hassle of driving - after a long day walking that was a nice way to end the day. The bar over the road was very welcoming. So many different walks to do - from the house on the second day we did a gorgeous local one in the morning and then over to the Lecht and Ballater for one up higher in the afternoon on our way home. Great base for highland adventure and with so many bedrooms and decor to such a high standard it is highly recommended for a group of adults.
