On the first floor, No. 5 Gordon Hall provides self catering holiday accommodation for up to 4 in a comfortable and well equipped holiday home and is comprised of a large double or twin bedroom, a further twin bedded room and a large lounge with dining area.There is a WC/shower room and separate WC/cloakroom. The new kitchen is well-equipped and the lounge has Freesat TV and DVD.

The communal garden provides peaceful surroundings for relaxing and observing the birdlife and red squirrels.

Wi-fi, heating, hot water, Bed linen and towels are all included.

The apartment is ideal Scottish holiday accommodation for outdoor pursuits or just relaxing in the hills, glens, mountains, forests, lochs and rivers that form this spectacular national park in the highlands of Scotland. Excellent golf courses are all around and the river Spey is renowned for salmon fishing. Throughout Strathspey and Badenoch there are excellent areas for bird and wildlife watching.

The Scottish Highlands region

The locale is know as Strathspey and formsa major part of the Cairngorms National Park. The Cairngorm Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop to the glens, rivers, lochs and forests where wildlife thrives. The hills and mountains provide the water supply for the many distilleries which have been producing world renowned malt whisky for centuries. Sking on Cairngorm Mountain and The Lecht can be as good as many European resorts when the conditions are good. To the North there are excellent beaches on the Moray Firth at Nairn and Findhorn and Dolphins can be seen in the firth.

There are castles and ruins throughout the Strath which has a rich and sometimes bloody history of clan conflict.

Grantown-on-Spey

Grantown-on-Spey is recognised as the capital of Strathspey and hosts the headquarters of the Cairngorm National Park. It is the oldest planned town in Scotland founded in 1765 by the local laird who lived in Castle Grant where the original settlement was located. In the Staistical Account for Scotland it was noted in 1892 that Grantown had the highest occurence of octo and nonogenarians in the whole of Scotland - due to the quality of the air at its altitude of 790 feet. There are lots of opportunities for outdoor pursuits. There is a golf course (founded in 1890) and a par 3 course, tennis courts, bowls, Sports Centre with swimming pool, a recently opened cycle track and many walks through the community owned woods. The River Spey is a famous salmon rivers and attracts anglers from all over the world. Water sports are also provided locally.
