The Normandy region

Basse Normandy has always been a favourite for holdays. It has a wonderful coastline lined with chic towns such as Deauville and Honfleur.

Inland there is a variety of countryside with the rolling hills of Calvados, renown for its mllk and apple production, to wider hillier areas around Pont D`Ouilly, where rock climbing, paragliding, and caving are possible.

The Chateaus to visit are too numerous to mention, plus at Bayeaux the famous tapestry, and of course the D Day Landing Beaches.

Grandmesnil

Grandmesnil is a small farming village, it has no shops but Trun is just 5 mins drive away and has all the necessary shops, with Argentan for larger shopping days
