Our family, consisting of 2 adults and 2 young children, enjoyed our week's stay at the Les Trappeurs in Les Carroz, France, last Summer. We flew into Geneva, Switzerland, and received excellent directions to Les Carroz. We found the chalet to be well maintained, comfortable and homely. Our children automatically felt at home. The village of Les Carroz was within an easy 10 minute walk. We found all conveniences in Les Carroz from grocery shopping to restaurants/bars and activities for children of all ages, including bike-riding, swimming, hiking, horse- riding etc. With informative maps and directions supplied in the chalet and by the village tourist bureau, we were able to take various day trips to Annecy, Swiss village of Le Chatelard and Lake Emosson and Charmonix-Mt.Blanc, all within reasonable distances - a plus with young children. The scenery and surrounds provided absolutely magnificent views. We would recommend this holiday rental to families who are seeking a relaxing, mountain getaway. |

This was our second visit to Chalet Des Trappeurs, choosen because we knew the high specification of MGM chalets. We were delighted with thethe size of the accommodation, the children each had their own roomsand not having to tidy awaw bedding each morning made the holiday much more plesant. The bunk room conaining two sets of bunks would have been very crowded had it been filled to maximum capacity. I liked the en suite shower in our room and although one toilet was adequate for the four of us perhaps not for 10 people? However for our needs the accommodation was excellent. The town is a 10 minute walk but the bus which stops outside the chalet runs from 7am and it takes about 15 minutes to reach the main lift station. The skiing was good despite it being the worst snow for years. We skied mainly in Flaine where all the runs were in excellent condition - luckily we had a little snow during the week. The slpoes were relatively uncrowded even though it was the the French holidays. Les Carroz is very quiet in the evenings but there are several restaurants where we enjoyed the local specialities. I think Les Carroz is good value and ideal for families. |

March 2009
We had a wonderful stay at your apartment in March this year and simply loved the traditional town of Les Carroz.
The snow conditions were some of the best we've experienced and the skiing was so vast we didn't managed to cover the entire area during our stay. Having children, the free bus stop being right outside the apartment helped enormously and we were on the slopes within minutes every day.
Very comfortable apartment and extremely convenient to the centre with some wonderful shops, bars and restaurants.
We will be back to cover the remainder of the ski areas.
Thank you,
Richard and Kirsty
