Grand Massif / Hameau de Flaine area
Flaine is one of the world's leading ski resorts lying in the Haute-Savioe region of the French Alps. There are trails for all standards of skiers, a fast ski lift, and a season that lasts through to late April. The main resort features interesting Bauhaus architecture and there are various things on offer to enjoy off the piste, such as a cinema and variety of shops. There is a good range of restaurants and a number of bars for the apres-ski.
Le Hameau is linked to the resort by a regular, free bus service and also has its own shops and bar. This is a charming, peaceful area to stay, full of high standard chalets.
