Ideally siuated for both winter and summer visitots, Villa Monette was completed in 2005 to the usual high MGM standard. Entering the block by a keypad ,apartment A1 is immediately on the left and comprises generous lounge/ kitchen and dining area plus two bedrooms, separate WC and attractive bathroom with bath/shower and washing machine built in. The second bedroom is a bunk bedroom with full size beds.
Facilities include eye level oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher whilst for relaxing there is SKY TV, and DVD-video player.In summer the patio doors give access to a small terrace.
The apartment offers secure underground parking (remote controller provided) and a ski locker.

This is beautiful and unspoilt region with a very good snow record in Winter and temperatures in the 30C region at the height of summer
Samoens is well placed to explore places such as Annecy and Chamonix and it is one hour from the Mont Blanc Tunnel. to ITALY and beyond .There is Historic Yvoire to visit on the shores of Lake Geneva and Boat rides acroos both Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy. The Aosta Valley also beckons ...... just through the tunnel .
Samoens itself has been awarded the Coq d'Or award for its village beauty and boasts a Botanical garden and a GREAT ADVENTURE PARK for children.
Grand Massif / Samoens area
SUMMER As well as an Adventure park, Samoens has a large outdoor HEATED SWIMMING POOL and ther is horse riding in the Sixt nature Reserve 2 kms away .
Walks ,mountain biking. Climbing and WHITE WATER RAFTING and Tennis are all to be found here.
WINTER . The Skiing is superb and links to 250 kms of linked pistes with Flaine and Les Carroz. There is Nordic skiing and Sledging. This is all 5 mins away to the top of Samoens 1600 and THE SKI BUS STOP IS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR
How to get there
Most winter visitors choose to fly to Geneva from one of the twenty British airports with direct flights. Companies operating to GVA include EasyJet, BmiBaby, Jet2, Flybe and Thomsonfly. Arriving at GVA the choice is to rent a vehicle or book transfers to Samoens.If renting it is more convenient to book on the Swiss side....slightly dearer but easier to leave and return to the airport.
We provide fully insured transport to meet/return you at GVA (or elsewhere) but it is necessary to reserve your transfer well in advance...especially for Saturdays. Remember...it is twice the cost to rent a vehicle compared to a transfer.....and for ski holidays it really is unnecessary as the vehicle will be parked at the skilift most days! In addition, you have to fuel the motor and then drive it.
If you do decide to hire a vehicle it is advisable to choose a 4 x 4 and we recommend you look at ARGUS car hire.
Summer visitors...and a few winter ones...usually drive across France. It is 550 miles to Samoens from CalaIs/Boulogne and it will cost 65€ each way by motorway. We personally use SPEEDFERRIES from Dover to Boulogne whose rates are generally the most competitive.
A few guests use the train. It is TGV to Lyons where you change for Bellegarde, Cluses and towards Chamonix. Again, we can meet you by arrangement.

Further details indoors: Visitors will find this a cosy and attractive apartment with easy access to all activities and restaurants .The Apartment has all you need for a relaxing holiday. There are comfortable beds and wood and tiled floors throughout .
It has a quality sprung sofa bed for two extra guests) and round dining table......... with patio doors leading to a small terrace .An electric barbeque is provided.
Further details outdoors: The apartment block is in Chalet Style with wood and natural stone facing . There are 22 apartments in the 3 story block and all visitors there are friendly and helpful. Guests find the SHERPA store very convenient as it is in the same building and winter visitors have only to walk across the road for the skibus. The cinema, Irish bar and local fromagerie are all within one minute's walk of Villa Monette.

The apartment is available mid-December to mid-April and from Spring Bank holiday to the end of September.
Conditions
Bookings direct with the owners Anne and Peter Marshall . A 25% deposit secures the booking with the Balance payable 6 weeks before the holiday.
