Our self catering chalet was built in 2005 by local artisans in the traditional Alpine style. The upper two floors are fully equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect to find in a luxury 5* property, and it is the perfect home base to take advantage of the many activities you can find in the French Alps. The open space flooring provides comfortable seating for 8-10 around the large screen LCD TV, the fireplace (logs provided) or the large dining room table.Samoens, a quaint Alpine village classified as one of the prettiest villages in France, is only a 3 min drive. It has an excellent snow track record and many summer activities.

The Haute Savoie region is uniquely positioned in the heart of the French Alps.
Our chalet is only a one hour drive to several outstanding areas: Geneva, Switzeland and its beautiful lake, Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel, Chamonix and the Mont Blanc itself, and Annecy, the "Venice of the Alps".
These make for wonderful day trips if you want to take a break from skiing.
Grand Massif / Samoens area
Samoens is in the Grand Massif, located in the heart of the French Alps, with its 265 km of Alpine ski trails, 80 lifts and 90 km of Nordic ski trails, is the third largest ski area in Europe. It includes Samoens, Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt. It is accessed from a 8 people cabin within a 3 mn drive from the chalet, which gets you to Samoens 1600 in only 8 minutes. Samoens 1600, with its ski school, is a great ski area for beginners and intermediate skiers.
Only 3 minutes away, Samoens is a quaint historic town located in a pretty valley, close to stunning waterfalls in Sixt and to a nationally renowned botanical garden. Classified as one of the prettiest villages in France, it has excellent restaurants, cafés, bars, shops with typical regional products and a typical French outdoor market.
During the winter, besides skiing, you can enjoy ice skating in the village ice skating rink, snow shoeing, mountain climbing, a ride on the "little train" in the village, etc...
During the summer, you will enjoy swimming in the nearby outdoor swimming pool or mountain lake, mountain biking, rock climbing, adventure parks, white water rafting, parapenting, helicopter rides, horse back riding, children's playgrounds, etc..., and of course, "the little train".
How to get there
Our chalet is only a one hour drive from the Geneva, Switzerland, airport. You can take advantage of inexpensive flights with Easyjet, attactive rates from Swiss (from London City Airport), as well as competitive rates from British Airways.

Further details indoors: On the first floor, you will find a spacious living area with comfortable sitting for 8-10 around the fireplace (logs provided), the large screen LCD TV or around the large massive wooden table in the dining area, a well equipped American style kitchen, a bedroom with a queen size bed, TV and ample storage space, a large room with a 4 person jacuzzi and Italian style open shower, and an independent WC. UK channels are available via satellite. Full size stairs lead to the upper floor, with a mezzanine, three additional bedrooms,each with TV, one with its own bathtub, a fully equipped bathroom (shower with water jets), and two WC's. The basement houses the clothes washer and dryer, and storage for skis ans ski boots.
