For fantastic skiing a great balance - you can find some really great runs for all levels of skiing. Lots of Greens and blues reds and a few terrrific blacks - its great for beginners , intermediates and experts ! Over 265 kms of pistes . This year we skiied at the end of April and it was fantastic. We discovered Flaine about 4 years ago and it has everything for family skiing - not a lot of night life for the young ones though its more a family resort.
Superbly located, traditional 1 bedroom apartment within a 500 metre walk to the slopes or alternatively you can jump onto the new chairlift behind the apartment ( completing Xmas 2008 ) Traditional ski apartment that can sleep up to six with a superb south facing balcony. There is one double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, separate wc, two bunk beds in the hallway and a sofa bed within the lounge/diner/kitchen .
The apartment will sleep 6 but is more comfortable with 4 . We may be able to accommodate larger parties please call us . There is a TV with dvd and cd player incorporated ., microwave , toaster ,kettle , fridge with icebox freezer compartment, coffee machine ,hoover and microwave.

Grand Massif, a big ski area The Grand Massif ski area boasts a 265 kms of linked and prepared runs, connecting Flaine with the resorts of Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt Fer-à-Cheval.
The Cascades piste, a jewel in the crown. Imagine a run 14 kms long, an altitude drop of 1800m down into the village of Sixt Fer à Cheval, wonderful scenery, and never encounter one single ski lift! Start at the top of Les Grandes Platières. From Sixt, a free shuttle bus takes you to the main cable car in Samoëns.
3 “Jamparks” throughout the Grand Massif area are at the disposal of freestylers of all skills and ambitions.
Exceptional snow cover The natural snow record at Flaine allows to open over a long period of time and guarantees excellent ski conditions throughout the season. e.g. snow heights in the spring 09/04/04 : 320 cm at 2500 m 19/04/05 : 280 cm at 2500 m 23/03/07 : 310 cm at 2500 m
218 cannons top up the snow cover on the fragile slopes ensuring the best possible snow conditions throughout the season.
Pedestrians The Grandes Platières cable car takes you from 1600 to 2500 m in only 12 minutes. Stepping out of the cabin, a magnificent view over the Mont Blanc will take you aback. Bar & restaurant with sun terrace at the top.

Flaine is one of Frances purpose built resorts- skiing is the attraction.
The skiing here is some of the best in Europe fabulous snow each year and great pistes , view Mont Blanc from the top of the Telecabine enjoy fantastic views and superb runs back to base.
The resort continues to thrive and most evenings after skiing there is a fun activity in the Forum thats the town square. Flaine is a vehicle free town and is ideal for family skiing.
How to get there
Take a budget flight to Geneva walk through customs jump on the bus just outside and be transported to Flaine in one and a half hours.

Further details indoors: Fully fitted kitchen /lounge area with superb panoramic views of the ski slopes .From the apartment just 50 metres away is the ski hire shop and the slopes are 500 metres away .There is a ski bus which stops within 50 metres direct to the slopes where there is a ski pass chalet.
NOTE THERE IS A NEW CHAIRLIFT DUE TO OPEN XMAS 2008 WITHIN 50 METRES OF THE APARTMENT .
The apartment is fully fitted with everything you need for a weeks stay - TV ,DVD,kettle toaster microwave . , fridge with icebox freezer compartment, coffee machine, hoover and microwave . Bring your own towels and sheets ( duvets provided )
Further details outdoors: Located a hop skip and a jump from Geneva .Either take the bus ( if there are only 2 of you ) or hire a car ( you may need snow chains) Its better to go French side as its cheaper - its on the first floor up in the right hand corner through the French sector . We load up on supplies close to the airport as its cheaper than in the resort . Its then an hours drive to the apartment.
If you time it right the ski bus will drop you at the slopes thats less than 2 mins on the bus . NEW FOR 2008 LES GERATS CHAIRLIFT JUST BEHIND THE APARTMENT .
The ski school can be booked on the way to the slopes and there are 3 ski hire shops on the way. We leave our skis at the ski locker cabin at the end of each day to avoid carrying them backwards and forwards.

For early bookings that are made before September 2008 we will accept midweek to midweek . This will enable you to book cheaper flights we will discount our rents for early bookings .
We require payment in full and a separate deposit cheque of £100 against damage.The deposit cheque remains uncashed and is returned at the end of your stay.
