The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
Situated in the French Alps, the region has two main seasons, winter and summer. In winter the French Alps has an excellent snow record and skiing for all abilities. In summer, it is an outdoor playground with beautiful scenary, stunning views and a host of places to and activities to do.
Grand Massif / Morillon area
Morillon itself is situated in the beautiful Giffre valley. The source of the Giffre is in the mountains separating France from Switzerland. Beautiful waterfalls (Cascades) can be seen at nearby Sixt before the river flows through the picturesque town of Samoens and on down eventually to meet up with the Rhone. Besides the playground of the river there is the beautifully clear Lac Bleu (with its own beach) to sunbathe and numerous paths up through the mountains to walk or mountain bike. Morillon and the Grand Massif are a skiers paridise in the winter. With over 265 km of pistes, the ski area caters for all abilities. Morillon 1100 has its own ski school and the resort is particularly child friendly as everything is close by.
How to get there
Budget airlines such as Easyjet and Flybe fly to Geneva or alternatively Chambery (100kms) from many regional as well as international airports.
If hiring a car make sure you hire from the Swiss (as opposed to the French) side of Geneva airport. The journey takes approx. 1 hour by car.
The resort is self contained so in the winter you don't necessarily need a car to get around - you could get a ski transfer service from www.ski-lifts.com

Further details indoors: Although an apartment, being located on 2 floors it has a ski chalet feel. Truly alpine, constructors MGM have provided numerous wooden features inside which give the property a warm, homely feel. There is a 'coin montagne' room upstairs which can be used as either another bedroom or as a 'chilling out ' area for the children - it has its own TV/DVDand CD.
Further details outdoors: The property has a large 'L' shaped balcony facing South East. which gives you fantastic views of the Giffre valley and mountains beyond. The ski locker is about 20 metres away and has direct access to the slopes so you can ski in/ski out in normal conditions. The convenience store, ski hire shop and best restaurant are all within 30 metres. The lift which operates in summer also [and has special attachements to take mountain bikes] is only 30 metres away. Private parking for the Refuge De L'Alpage complex is situated about 50 metres away.

Rental is on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday [more flexibility may be available in the summer]. Linen and towels are included and we shall arrange for our representatives in resort to greet you on your arrival.
