About the home

This superb 'duplex' chalet apartment in Les Carroz is located in the prestigious MGM development of Les Cristallieres. Centred in the heart of the village of Les Carroz. finished to a very high specification with excellent use of timber and stone.

The apartment, which is located on the second floor, is serviced by a lift and our guests have access to a private ski locker on the ground floor. The excellent free ski bus which takes you to the nearby lifts is also in the centre of the village.

This chalet apartment sleeps up to 8 people in three bedrooms with an additional twin beds on the mezzanine. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are located on the lower level and each having ample storage space and high ceilings. Central to the apartment is the spacious, bright and open plan living area with dining, well equipped kitchen and comfortable seating for 8. Large double sliding doors spanning the length of the room show off the sunny balcony and views. All the bedrooms and living area have been creatively furnished with fur throws and cushions for that added comfort and luxury.

The living area is also enhanced by flatscreen TV with satellite TV, DVD and high spec sound projection system.

The wooden staircase from the lounge takes you to the mezzanine, which overlooks the living area and has twin beds (side by side) and a separate corner area with leather gaming chairs and gaming equipment or simply use this area as a chill out area to listen to music or read.

The interesting shops, bars and restaurants of the village are located just a short walk away (2 mins). This apartment is perfect for family or friends looking for an affordable option to enjoy and share high quality accommodation in a central village position.

Further details

All prices are GBP sterling and include quality bed linen, towels and end of stay clean. A deposit of 20% is required to secure your reservation and the balance is payable 10 weeks prior to your arrival. In addition a 500 GBP damage deposit is required which will be held during your stay and returned within 7 days of your departure.

Conditions

The apartment has a Saturday - Saturday changeover day. Short breaks are welcome however please contact us with your dates and we will do our best to accommodate you.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

This alpine region is full of plenty of places to visit and things to do - Chamonix, Lake Annecy, Lake Geneva etc are within 1 hr drive.
During the summer months temperatures can rise to 40 degrees + and the white snow capped mountains turn into a summer playground with activities such as horse riding, rafting, walking, hiking, mountain biking, road biking, shister biking, via ferrata walking or just relaxing in the sunshine.

The Grand Massif / Les Carroz d'Araches area

The delightful alpine ski resort of Les Carroz is a hidden gem for many reasons. It is located only 50 mins from Geneva with an easy route to the village. The ski area offers a fabulous 265 km of piste for all levels of skiers and snowboarders and amongst one of the treasures of this area is the magnificent 360 degree views of Mont Blanc.

The Grand Massif ski area consists of 5 villages, Morillon, historic Samoens, Sixt fer a Cheval, Les Carroz and the high altitude resort of Flaine. All areas are linked and are easily accessible from the main telecabine of Les Carroz. As a non-skier the area offers day trips to Chamonix, Annecy and lake Geneva which are all within an hours drive of Les Carroz. Also within the village of Les Carroz there are many restaurants with sunny terraces to enjoy the winter sun over a drink and watch the world go by. There is also snow shoeing, shopping, cinema, ice rink and lots of activities throughout the season.

“Spacious, comfortable and well equipped” We stayed in this apartment during a family ski-trip to Les Carroz. The apartment had ample room for me, my wife and 5 children. The teenagers loved the den on the mezzanine floor which was equipped with a large flat screen, X-box and 4 controllers. Smaller kids loved the huge flat screen in the main living area with DVD player and surround sound system. My wife and I appreciated having UK satellite TV. We could even watch our local rugby team's Heineken Cup match on BBC Northern Ireland! Location was spot on. A 4 minute walk in snow boots took us to the free bus shuttle service to main lift station where we had rented lockers for skis, boots and helmets. The apartment is self catering, so the Spar right beside us was very convenient. You are more or less in the town centre, so there are also lots of restaurants very near by. The only disadvantage was no internet in the apartment, although if you are desperate, you can sit outside the tourist office in the town, although extended surfing late at night could lead to hypothermia!
