Recently built, high quality MGM apartment, with two bedrooms (one with en suite shower), bathroom, seperate WC and large kitchen/lounge room with lovely mountain views. Sleeps 5/6 comfortably. Superb location - a 30 second stroll from main square, yet set in secluded, private gardens to the eastern side of the square, part of a small area which benefits from avoiding any of the main village thoroughfares and hence is unusually quiet, removed from almost all traffic and noise. Ski locker and underground parking included. Discounted rental rate agreed with nearby equipment hire shop, with lockers available at Samoens 1600.

Bedroom 1 - King sized double bed, en-suite shower-room, 'pont du lit' with excellent storage.
Bedroom 2 - Adult sized single bunk beds plus one full sized single bed, built in wardrobe.
Sofa-bed in lounge, very comfortable for one adult.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom in bedroom 1 with shower and basin
Bathroom with bath/shower and basin.
Separate WC room
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with electric hob, oven with built-in microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer.
Dining table with seating for up to six people.
Living Rooms: Two double sofas (one is also a sofa bed), Digital TV/DVD player, WIFI, ipod docking station, door to large balcony (14sqm), fully decked with mountain views. The balcony is double sided, facing South and East, so it enjoys the sun all day.
Additional service: Cleaning/towels/linen all included (beach/swimming towels not included).

Conditions
A 10% non refundable deposit will be required to confirm a booking, with the remaining balance due 8 weeks in advance. A refundable £200 damage deposit will also be required when the balance is paid (this will be refunded after a check of the apartment within 14 days of the end of your stay). For larger parties - if you are interested in booking additional apartments either in the same apartment building or a neighbouring building, please let us know.

Haute-Savoie is a department in the Rhône-Alpes region of eastern France, bordering both Switzerland and Italy. Its capital is Annecy. To the north is Lake Geneva and Switzerland; to the south and southeast are the Mont Blanc and Aravis mountain ranges. The French entrance to the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy is in Haute-Savoie.
Arguably the prettiest and most enchanting village in the region, Samoëns is located in the Vallée du Giffre and carries the designation of a "ville fleurie" distinguishing it as one of the most beautiful towns in France. It is a hugely popular summer destination as well as being an excellent access point for the Grand Massif, one of the largest ski areas in Europe.
Winter:
The Grand Massif is made up of Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt and Samoens and offers extensive skiing and snowboarding opportunities, with an excellent snow record - one of the best in the Alps. The high speed gondola in the village will take you up to the Samoens 1600m ski resort in less than 10 minutes.
From Samoens 1600 you can access over 265km of piste, with plenty of runds suitable for skiiers and snowboarders of all levels. Over the last few years, millions of Euros have been spent improving the entire region's winter sports infrastructure, including new snow canons to 'guarantee' snow covered runs throughout the season.
Samoens is approx 50 mins drive from Geneva airport or 8hrs drive from Calais. . The drive from Calais is all motorway except for the last 12 miles, making it easily accessible. There are many good hotels / logis along the way. Hiring a car from Geneva airport is a good way to travel to Samoens. Alterntively there is a bus or train service from Geneva airport to nearby Taninges.
The Grand Massif / Samoens area
Skiing
The Grand Massif ski area boasts 265km of piste at an altitude of 1600m offering one of the most beautiful and largest ski/snowboard areas in Europe. The area incorporates the 5 interlinked resorts of Samoens, Flaine, Les Carrox, Morillon and Sixt, providing "some of the most varied skiing in the Alps" (Sunday Times). Thanks to its proximity to the Mont Blanc range, the resort boasts some of the most consistent snow cover in the Alps. Some highlights include the stunning views across the mountain peaks including Mont Blanc and Les Aiguilles, the 14km Cascades run from the summit at Flaine to the Sixt valley, the challenging upper pistes of the Tete de Saix, the Jam Park & 'Cool Zones', numerous off piste options for freestyle lovers, and one of the largest areas of beginners slopes in Haute Savoie. We have secured a discounted rental charge for equipment from a nearby rental shop, which also has lockers located at Samoens 1600.
The next closest village to Samoens is Morillon which is a 5 min drive (free ski bus in the winter) or 30 minutes of pleasurable walking. The historic towns of Annecy and Geneva with their beautiful lakes and Lyon with its ancient quarter are all one hours drive away. Chamonix with the famous Mt Blanc, various pretty villages in northern Italy, and the beautiful town of Evain les Bains, are also one hour away.

You can reach the apartment in less than an hour from Geneva Airport.
Most European cities offer direct flights to Geneva - often at very competitive prices.
The drive from Calais is also reasonably straightforward and is approximately eight hours, assuming you are happy to use the (excellent) toll roads.

Our preferred changeover day is Saturday and the usual rental period is for a week. However, please but enquire for shorter periods and/or different changeover days - we will be flexible wherever possible.
