The Hameau de Flaine is a collection of 70 beautiful Scandinavian-style chalets. It is situated approximately 2km above the main ski resort of Flaine which enjoys one of the best snow records in the Alps. Our chalet is centrally located in the Hameau, just 50 metres from the General Store which houses a grocery shop, snow sports and ski-hire shop, restaurant and bar. It has breathtaking views across the ski area from the south facing terrace.
Access to skiing and the main resort centre is less than 5 minutes by the regular free shuttle bus which runs every 15 minutes and stops immediately outside the Hameau. Alternatively, there is a ski path that connects the Hameau to the one of the main chair lifts in the main resort (Grand Vans).
Our chalet is privately owned and available for rental all year round. Come to ski and snowboard in the winter or to explore this fabulous area in the summertime.

The Grand Massif, one of the largest ski areas in the Alps, lies in the Haute Savoie between Mont Blanc and the Portes du Soleil and offers an excellent variety of winter sports activities in the resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoëns, Morillon and Sixt.

The Grand Massif is an ideal location for your winter or summer holiday.
Winter activities include skiiing (including cross-country skiing), snowboarding, parapenting, ice skating, ice driving and winter walking trails. In the summer, there are opportunities for a wide range of summer activities including mountain biking, walking, tennis, golf, archery, fishing, parapenting, rafting and swimming.
Flaine is a modern, car free resort with a good range of shops and services. Entertainment activities include a variety of bars and restaurants, an indoor swimming pool, a cinema, cultural and exhibition centre climbing wall, fitness centre and 10-pin bowling.
Flaine is also close to Lake Geneva, Annecy and Chamonix.
How to get there
A40 motorway, exit no. 19 signposted CLUSES CENTRE. Follow signs for FLAINE (N205) for 2 km, then take left turn for D106 and continue through Les Carroz. Hameau de Flaine is approximately 15 minutes from Les Carroz and 2 km from Flaine.

A rental management company manages rental of the chalet. An English-speaking agent is available in the reception area (located in the centre of the Hameau) as a point of contact to co-ordinate arrangements and troubleshoot any problems. This service is included in the price.
Rental of ski equipment is available at a discounted price at the General Store.

Guestbook for Chalet 55, Hameau de Flaine
Got back yesterday after a wonderful time in Flaine. The snow and weather was excellent, except for the last day which was a white out but lower slopes still open so still got some skiing in. Thanks for the chalet which was everything we could have wished for, especially the views!!! kind regards, Jamie & family.
