Home description
Les Fermes de Samoens is a new complex 5 minutes from the centre of Samoens. The apartment has a bunk room downstairs (full size adult beds), living area, kitchenette and french windows onto sunny south facing balcony (looking directly over river at waterfall). Upstairs on the mezzanine floor is a double bedroom, bathroom and separate WC.
The complex has a ski-bus stop outside, indoor and outdoor (summer only) pools with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room etc. (may be extra charge). Our apartment is privately owned and is provided with linen, towels etc. For 5th person there is a "fold-up" bed.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
Whilst the French Alps are best known for the skiing, summer is a wonderful time to visit too. Warm sunny days walking in the mountains and many lovely places to visit. Within 1 hours drive of Samoens are; Geneva, Annecy, Evian, Thonon, Chamonix and Mont Blanc, plus many other interesting villages and towns.
Grand Massif / Samoens area
Samoens is in the glacial Giffre valley. The rivver Giffre runs through the village. Rafting and kayaking are just 2 of the sports on offer in the summer. Parapenting from Samoen 1600 is available in summer and winter. The ski shops become bike shops in the summer and all levels are catered for. Cycle around the relatively flat village and surrounding area - or pop up to Morillon or Morzine and get the chairlifts up the mountain with your bike! Samoens ski area is linked easily wih the Grand Massif. 265kms of quiet and varied piste, plus some great off piste for the more adventurous. The gondola has a large free car park and is served by regular ski-buses. Wednesday is market day in Samoens all year. Stock up on local produce (cheese and fruit are particularly good). The walking is great, with market trails for all abilities, lakes and waterfalls aplenty. In the summer, fireworks and festivals are a regular occurrance

Further details outdoors: Our apartment is on the second floor, there is a lift in the building, but as the bathroom facilities are upstairs the apartment is not suitable for the disabled or those who have problem with stairs.
Ski-locker avaiable on ground floor of building.
Small supermarket is 5 mins walk - larger one only 5 mins drive away.

Swimming pool is only available when the entire complex is open (Late Dec-End April and Mid June-Mid Sept). Outdoor pool summer only.
Conditions
£150 damage/cleaning deposit required to secure booking. This will be returned in full once keys are returned and we have the cleaners report on the condition of the apartment.
Cleaning is included, but guests are requested to tidy, strip beds and wash-up. Other cleaning materials are available if required.
