Home description
The Chalet is extremely spacious with light flooding in, exposed beams and high ceilings. The stylish open plan fully equipped kitchen includes granite work surfaces and a breakfast/drinks bar. In the living and dining area there is a huge wooden dining table, large LCD TV with DVD, satellite TV and stereo and WiFi. The lounge area offers 2 leather 3 seater sofas and a further leather corner sofa which seats 6. Leading from the living area is a large south facing balcony, with spectacular uninterrupted views of the entire valley including Samoens village, the ski domain and Sixt Fer a Cheval. This is equipped with outside furniture and BBQ.
The chalet consists of 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a large family bedroom with a double bed and double sofa bed. There are two double en suite rooms one of which has its own balcony, a twin room and a further bedroom with 2 sets of full sized bunk beds. There is also a large family bathroom and further cloakroom with toilet and washbasin. All of the rooms are finished with a unique style and excellent quality furnishings and fittings.
The chalet benefits from underfloor heating. It also has further facilities such as a large utility room with second fridge, washing machine and dryer. It has its own garage and private parking and further storage for skis and bikes.
Our prices include all linen and towels and a selection of Molton Brown toiletries. Beds are made prior to your arrival and our price includes end of stay cleaning. A welcome hamper is provided so you don't need to rush to the supermarket on arrival. It is also possible to benefit from discounted ski hire and bike hire and we are on hand to assist with all aspects of your holiday.

In Winter, Samoens has one of the best snow records in the Alps in recent years. The ski area has 265km of pisite making it approximately the 5th largest resort in Europe. In summer there are endless activities from Climbing, mountain biking, rafting, golf, walking and hiking, and the average temperature is in the late 20's.
Grand Massif / Samoens area
This spectacular and beautiful area is well geered up for tourists with all it has to offer, however it hasn’t been spoilt by tourism. Samoens has been awarded a ‘Coq d’Or’ for being one of the prettiest villages in France and is the only ski resort classified by the Caisse des Monuments Historiques. The villages are full of character and charm with quaint streets, yet still provides the centre for almost every outdoor activity imaginable.
Based in the beautiful valley of the Giffre river, the area provides spectacular scenery including mountain lakes, national parks and botanical gardens plus amazing wildlife and just minutes up the road at Sixt Fer a Cheval are over a dozen enormous waterfalls. It has a great deal to offer for families and individuals of all ages seeking adventure or alternatively just sheer relaxation.
There are numerous excellent restaurants, including bistros, gourmet, traditional French Savoyard and Pizzerias. A range of cafes and bars and numerous shops cater for all your needs, many of which are located around the historic square. There are typical French markets, beautiful churches, health and beauty parlours, cash points, doctors, chemists, a cinema, an ice skating rink, creche, swimming pools in summer, bakeries, supermarkets and everything else you would expect from well equipped mountain resorts. The Tourist Office puts on various entertainments in the village square ranging from kids' events to antique fairs throughout the year.

The Grand Massif Express lift is now open in summer as well as winter; this is fantastic news for walkers, bikers, paragliders and sports enthusiasts alike.
Winter facts….The Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France and has one of the lowest lift to beds ratios…so much smaller queues than other well know resorts. Samoens now has a high speed lift from 1600m up to 2500m…this means less queuing, less time on the lifts and more skiing! We are also offering some fantastic alternative activities in the winter, so if you are a non skier there are plenty of other exciting things to take part in, why not try our snow shoeing trip for example...a fantastic experience after which you can enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal in a Yurt on the side of the mountain!
There has never been a better time to holiday in the Samoens area, with an abundance of activities to choose from, breathtaking scenery to enjoy, a delightful village to explore and friendly locals to meet. How to get there
We are only 1 hour from Geneva Airport and we have secured discounted rates for both airport transfers and car hire - Please see our website at www.alpsaccommodation.com for more information on getting there and other luxury chalets and apartments.
With all hire companies, we recommend you collect the car from the Swiss side of Geneva Airport. This is the easiest way to get in and out of the airport. Once you have hired your car, follow for France and you will then go through the border and once through, follow the A40 for Chamonix. You will come to your motorway exit about 40 minutes from leaving the airport.
By ferry

Just a quick not to say thank you from us all. Chalet Eve was fantastic and what a lovely village Samoens is. Your help has been much appreciated in helping me to organise the holiday and to make it so memorable for us all. - Clapperton party - March 2007 The accommodation and location were wonderful, we loved the view from our balcony and even watched the fireworks from our bedroom. The pool was great , but men and boys can't wear baggy shorts, we had to buy some from the machines there! Thank you for the basket of food and drinks, that was a welcoming touch. We will definitely consider returning to the area and would not hesitate to use alps accommodation again! Truby party - July 09.
