Home description
Chalet Geronimo was completely renovated to an extremely high standard in 2005. There is a light and airy open plan dining and living room with a wood burning stove, and in addition a games room downstairs with table football. There are 3 spacious bedrooms with ample storage, two of which have balconies with stunning mountain views. There is a large and luxurious family bathroom, and a separate shower room with a power shower and also a very modern fitted kitchen. The chalet is in a calm and peaceful setting in its own grounds, yet the ski lifts are less than a 5 minute walk away, and the centre of the historic village of Samoens is less than 7 minutes by foot.

Samoens and the Grand Massif ski area are the perfect alpine location- they are snow-sure during the winter, and enjoy warm days during the summer months. The town of Chamonix is only a 40 minute drive away, Annecy and its beautiful lake is less than an hour away, and Geneva in Switzerland is only a 50 minute drive away.
Grand Massif / Samoens area
Samoens is the only "historically listed" ski resort in France, due to the beauty of its medieval architecture, and it has many authentic French bars, shops and restaurants - it has been officially recognised as one of the prettiest villages in France. Unlike most ski resorts, it has a tranquil and peaceful village centre.
Samoens, together with the other villages of Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt, forms part of the Grand Massif ski area. Samoens offers direct access to fabulous skiing, starting at 1600m and rising to 2500m, with over 265km of pistes,
Chalet Geronimo is less than a 2 minute walk to the leisure park in Samoens - here there is a large outdoor swimming pool, lakes, tennis courts and adventure climbing. In summer, the things to do in Samoens are endless - biking, climbing, walking, rafting, canoeing, parapenting or Via Ferrata! There is also an 18 hole golf course 20 minutes drive away and an ice rink in the centre of Samoens.
In the centre of the village of Samoens, there are many shops and restaurants, where you can enjoy a wide range of food from traditional fondues and raclettes to fine dining.
How to get there
-Samoens is ideally situated, less than an hour drive away from Geneva airport. -Cheap flights are available to Geneva from many UK destinations. Have a look at Easyjet, BA, Flybe, Bmibaby and Swissair. -Transfers from Geneva airport are available from 30 euros per person. -Alternatively, use the channel port of Calais, driving to Samoens will take around 8-9 hours.

Further details indoors: On the ground floor there is a cosy living area with ample seating. In the games room there is table football and a large TV, a SKY digibox and DVD player. There are three bedrooms on the first floor. In addition there are two sofa beds which can sleep another 4 people. Two of the bedrooms also have satellite television. The kitchen is to a very high standard and equipped with a dishwasher, large oven and hob. The chalet has recently installed under-floor heating in all parts of the ground floor. Downstairs, there is further room for storage, a boot room and also a washing machine. All towels and linen are provided, and cleaning charges are included in the price. There are no hidden charges.
The chalet is available for rent on a self catered, part catered or fully catered basis.
Further details outdoors: Chalet Geronimo has a large private garden, and as it is well set back from the road, is ideal for children. There is a garage and sufficient car parking for 3 cars at the front of the property.
