The apartment is located in a residential area about 2.8 kilometres from the city centre and the historic part of town. There are all sorts of services and facilities in the surrounding area: pharmacies, hospital, supermarket, shopping mall, etc.

The property is made up of two double bedrooms, a large living room with a large size sofa-bed, two bathrooms (one with a bathtub and the other one with a shower), a fully furnished kitchen (including oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, washer and other appliances. There is AC in the living area and central heating throughout the house. There are also two swimming pools that open in the summer season.

The flat is located at about 2 minutes from the main highway and from there you access downtown in about 4 minutes, or the main highways to Malaga, Madrid, Sierra Nevada, Costa Tropical or Costa del Sol.

You can also access the city centre via one of the two regular bus-lines that pass by the apartment: line 22, right at the door, line 6 at only 100 meters. Line 6 will drop you right at the door of the Cathedral and line 22 at the lower end of downtown in minutes.

Furthermore, the apartment also offers all you might need if you are visiting with a baby (crib, stroller, bottle sterilizer, etc.) or with children (play station 2, games, toys, etc.)

The property is located at about 2 minutes from the main highway and from there you can access downtown, in matter of 4 minutes, or the main highways to Malaga, Madrid, Sierra Nevada, Costa Tropical or Costa del Sol.

You can actually go skiing in Sierra Nevada in the morning and then head to the Mediterranean for lunch, as we are a mere 90 km form Sierra Nevada to Salobreña. If you don't like the beach you can stop in the Alpujarras, beautiful mountain villages between Granada and the Med, and enjoy the fresh air, lovely food & wine and beautiful surroundings.


The flat is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Granada, Parque Almunia, surrounded by official buildings (Diputación de Granada) and University faculties. The main hospitals, police station, shopping malls and other amenities are all within a 3 km radius.

"Clean, well kept and a friendly owner"

The owner was extremely helpful with planning before arrival and with helping us get around the town and he spoke perfect English. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable with ample parking on the street. It had every facility we needed and a great shower.

The little shop on the corner was fantastic and always made sure there were eggs and bacon for us 'English' and fresh bread every day. The cafe on the other corner looked nice too but we only had a quick coffee there; otherwise the area is residential. Make sure you practice your basic Spanish!

There were two buses to take you to the main area of Granada costing about 1.20 Euros. It is very easy to access the area by turning off at 125 on the A44 by car. Within about a mile there is a local supermarket and a further walk across the roundabout will take you to a more populated area and some nice gardens with orange trees.

The 9 and 11 year old were happy with the PlayStation and WiFi facilities but we were slightly disappointed that the pool was closed in April but then again so were all the private pools. There is a little playground nearby and loads of basket ball areas.

We traveled with my father in law; so it was good to see a couple of spare chairs in the kitchen so we could all sit round the table together.

All in all a very nice stay if you want something out of the noisy hubbub that isn't too far from town.

ps If you go in Holy week like us, book your Alhambra visit on-line before you go or else you will have to start queuing at 6:30am to get a ticket. Even the Granada cards had sold out! Granada and the Sierra Nevada is a beautiful place to be.
