About the home
The house is air conditioned in the lounge and all three bedrooms. It is situated on a sunny, south facing corner plot, which gives it the advantage of catching the sun from early morning to late evening. As of the end of February 2010, an internet connection will now be available. From the main bedroom there are views across the salt lakes of Santa Pola, to the mountains on the horizon.
The house is situated on two floors. On the ground floor there is a lounge dining room with a separate kitchen, a shower room and toilet with hand basin, and a third bedroom, that can be used by the less mobile. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, both with balconies. The main bathroom consists of a bath with overhead shower, a toilet, and bidet and hand basin.
The house has a private garden, so you can relax in the evening whilst cooking on the Bar-B-Q. The urbanisation has a large Oasis swimming pool, ( one of the largest in the area) that is open from Mid June to Mid September, (dates vary).

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The area around Gran Alacant is still traditionally Spanish, with only a small population of foreign residents. The town of Santa Pola is a working fishing port, El Altet is a small inland town, and Arenales del Sol is a popular summer resort for Spanish holiday makers. Further afield you have the city of Alicante with it's magnificent harbour full of bars and restaurants selling local delicacies. The town of Elche is famous for it's shoes (this keeps the wife quiet for hours). All of these towns can be reached by local buses. If you have a car you can visit Alicante’s wine region which covers an area of 14,000 hectares and has 50 vineyards (bodegas), which produce 12 million litres of wine annually.

The nearest airport is Alicante only 10 minutes drive away from the house, (but not under the flight path)., or Murcia, about 45 minutes drive. Direct flight to Alicante and Murcia airports are available from most of the UK air ports. Airlines such as Easy jet, Ryanair, Monarch, Thomascook, Bmibaby, Jet2, Flyglobespan, Flythomson, and more. Alicante, There are numarous car hire companies that are located at the airports or a short taxi ride from Alicante, that costs about 20 Euros each way.

We have been many times at Alicante area and expected as we normally do, sun, beach golf, good food and a pleasant house to stay. All our expectacions we fullfilled, especially the house was perfect and the area is very safe and clean. |

We were delighted with the property and enjoyed an excellent holiday.The property itself was ideal spacious enough for my wife and I,our 2 infant daughters and my 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend.The 3 bedrooms, travel cot bathroom upstairs and down all made for a comfortable stay.The kitchen and other facilities meant it felt a bit of a home from home. The swimming pool was 1 minutes away and was excellent. Getting around was made easy and a novelty by the Train which took us on a circular to the beach,Cabrassi centre and Gran Alacant. Calabrassi beach and the Clot de Galvany reserve were an excellent bonus to just being by the sea. Overall excellent. |
