This new modern, first floor apartment enjoys a hill top location in Gran Alacant, with stunning views over Alicante Bay and over the mountains towards Benidorm.It is close to all leisure amenities such as varied retaurants, bars and 3 pools all very close. It is a 12 minute drive from the airport (but not in a the flight path) You can walk towards the cliffs of El Faro and enjoy stunning views over the bay and Tabarca Island. It is just 15 minutes drive north to the vibrant city of Alicante, which has plenty to enjoy day and night.. It is ideal for a beach,golf, sport or touring holiday.
Your holiday accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms, a lounge/dining room with a comfortable sofa bed, kitchen, with full cooking facilities, washing machine, microwave, etc. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, bidet and sink. Large selection of DVDs, videos and books provided. satelllite t.v
You can enjoy sunbathing, barbecuing on the large terrace, or relax in the shade of front balcony when it gets to hot, cooled by the overhead fan. A large sun canopy has been provided for further comfort.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


The Costa Blanca coast is well known for its beautiful well kept sandy beaches (many with blue flag award), and jacuzzi temperature sea water. This area is also attractively rocky and mountainous, providing stunning views.
There are the beautiful Cities of Alicante, Elche and Murcia to explore and enjoy lazing in sunny squares. En route to Guadamar are protected wetlands, dunes and very scenic areas well-known to bird-lovers. Guadamar has stunning beaches and beautiful shaded parks, close to the sea. Inland is Rojales, with its cave dwellings, some still occupied, others are artists' galleries. At the entrance is a house painstakingly covered inside and out with shells.
North lies Benidorm, Jalon Valley, Villajoyosa with its stunning painted houses, Altea with its fascinating old square and church, Calpe, further on. Guadalest, inland is a true scenic delight, with shaded restaurants, gift shops etc as well as its natural beauty. Old Benidorm, has great charm in its winding streets, and many shops and restaurants. It is home to Terra Mitica,a thrill ride theme park and Terra Natura nearby with both animal attractions and a water park as well as the Aqualandia and Mundomar water parks.
Alicante airport has great deals to Barcelona, Madrid and Palma, So from here you can travel much further afield, if you can tear yourself away! From Alicante railway station you can take the superb high speed tilt train to Murcia, Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.
The area is renowned for its micro climate which produces an average of 320 days of sunshine per year.It enjoys an average winter temperature of 15C, Summer 25C rising to low 30s. (Gran Alacant's position allows for refreshing cooling breezes)
The Gran Alacant / Altomar 2 area
The whole area is one of great natural beauty, with miles of protected wetlands, dunes and scenic areas - well known to birdwatchers. The local beach is pure white sand, with sand dunes and nearby bars and restaurants.Play areas by beach. Santa Pola is the closest town only 10 minutes by car and a 15 minute local bus ride. Here you will find a lively Spanish seaside town with many bars and restaurants serving traditional, locally caught, fish dishes. You can buy fresh fish just out of the sea! It has a popular Saturday and Monday market and over 12Kms of sandy beaches. It celebrates many festivals including Moors and Christians, Easter Festivals. These are well advertised and culminate in the charming square near the castle.
Within walking distance of the apartment, you will find a large selection of bars and restaurants serving Spanish and international cuisine - from Tapas to Chinese, Mexican, Indian, pizzerias and Argentinian Steak House. A 'Menu Del Dia' 3 course and wine will set you back an enormous 8-9 euros!
The new Land Train operates all year and runs from just by the apartment to the beaches of Los Arenales, the main Commercial shopping centre and returns every hour for one Euro! If you wish to leave the car and have a late night drink at one of the many bars and restaurants along its route, the train continues until one in the morning.
There is a Thursday market for fresh local produce and 4 supermarkets.
The cliff face, 5 mins from the apartment, on route to the lighthouse with views over the bay towards the island of Tabarca, and is used for para gliding. Locally you can book a truly thrilling tandem experience, with fantastic views!
Los Arenales, has white sandy beaches, many inexpensive restaurants next to the sea and shops.
The beautiful Carabassi beach, the nearest, has loungers, a couple of beach bars, and a nudist section. It is very popular further along for sea fishing (Dorada Sea Bass and others.)
Spanish Fiestas are spectacular - Easter week has processions every day. In summer , they are numerous including the fabulous Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians) Celebrations are held Santa Pola, Alicante, Elche and Guardamar.
