Home description
Situated on the headland just South of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, our house is within the popular area of Gran Alacant. Situated conveniently around the communal swimming pool and gardens, the house is arranged on three floors and can sleep up to 6 adults. The local white sand beach is one of the best in Spain and has secluded sand dunes along with a couple of wooden beach bars. The beach is approx. 15 minutes walk away down a winding road but it is possible to catch the regular bus .
In the local area there are a good selection of local and international restaurants and bars, shops,banks a supermarket and a 24 hour shop. There is an extensive street market every Thursday only a few minutes walk away. There are several more complexes of bars and restaurants within easy reach by foot. The main Commercial Zone of Gran Alacant is only a few minutes by bus

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is well known for its micro climate which keeps avarage temperatures even in winter close to 20 degrees. The region has been popular with British and European holiday makers for many years now and the infastructure has been set up to cater for these tourists.
Within easy reach by bus is the vibrant cosmopolitan city of Alicante. With superb shopping facilities, excellent restaurants, bars and nightlife, all combined with traditional Spanish charm there is something for all the family to do.
A walk up to the Castle of Santa Bárbara, or the lift, is a must to view the city and outer regions as well as learn some of the history of the city. In the evening, take a walk around the magnificient harbour and marina, maybe stopping off at one of the many eateries or just a bar. A link tram from Alicante will take you towards Benidorm and all it's nearby attractions. Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundamor are but a few. There is plenty here to keep the family entertained.
Taking the bus in the other direction will bring you to the fishing town of Santa Pola. Small but perfectly formed, Santa Pola has a lot to offer. Well equipped beautiful white sand beaches branch out from the central harbour area, to the north are the quieter beaches, to the south you'll find the tourist beaches with many bars and restaurants as well as water sports. In this area you'll also find Pola Park, great to entertain the kids in the evening. From the Harbour take a glass bottomed Catamaran trip to the island of Tarbaca. A quaint settlement which is now a nature reserve.
Gran Alacant / Monte Y Mar area
With a vibrant street market every Thursday only a stones throw away, the house is well placed in this popular yet quiet area. Local amenities include, banks, supermarkets, pharmacy, shops, bars and restaurants of every variety. The main Commercial area of Gran Alacant is a short hop on the bus, here you'll find a large choice of shops, bars and eateries, as well as three hyper markets, a department store and later this year a bowling alley and cinema.
The local beach, Carrabasi beach, is a short walk away. Approached through sand dunes, the beach has an organic feel about it, yet has facilities including sun loungers, parasols, showers and refreshments from wooden huts.
Just the other side of the road from the beach is a beautiful nature reserve in a valley with excellent wildlife and plantlife to view.
How to get there
Flights from all UK airports, with all major airlines and low cost airlines such as Easyjet and RyanAir. Situated just 10Km from the airport and having all amenities on the doorstep, means there is no need to hire a car. Transfers available on request at 15 euro each way. Bus stop within 5 minutes walk of the house connects directly with Alicante and Santa Pola.

Further details indoors: The ground floor has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area as well as shower room and utility room. The sofa converts to a double bed.
The first floor has one double room with balcony overlooking the pool. There is a small table and two chairs perfect for early morning coffee or lazy breakfasts. The second bedroom has twin beds, which can be put together to form another double. The main bathroom is also on this floor with four piece suit and shower over bath. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with lots of storage.
The accommodation is fully air conditioned with hot/cold super quiet inverter units and there is ample supply of solar heated hot water.
Further details outdoors: The top floor houses the roof terrace/solarium equipped with sun loungers, table, chairs and barbecue.
To the front of the house is a large patio/garden with table and chairs which recline for sunbathing, or this area can be used as secure parking.
The communal pool and gardens are directly in front of the house and overlooked by the balcony and roof terrace for peace of mind.

Swimming pool open all year round, life guard on duty June till September.
A 24 hour a day bus service runs from June till September between Santa pola and Alicante, via Gran Alacant.
Conditions
No single sex groups of 3 or more. Not ideal for infirm elderly or wheelchair users due to being on three levels and 8 steps up to front door. Deals available for long term winter lets.

If airport transfers are required these can be arranged at 15 euros each way per car (up to 4 people).
Booking Deposit of £150 to be paid within 1 week of booking.
Refundable deposit of £150 to be paid with final balance 4 weeks before departure.
