Home description

The house is furnished to a high standard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The two floors are tiled throughout with a marble staircase leading to the first floor and then on up to the roof solarium. There are Aircon units in each bedroom and in the lounge. There is a WC on the ground floor & a bathroom on the first floor which has a shower over the bath and an en-suite shower room to bedroom 1.Leading off bedroom 1 through patio doors is a balcony ideal for taking an early morning orange juice or just watching the world go by. Bedroom 1 has a King size bed & bedroom 2 has twin beds,bedroom 3 has its own door but is also linked to bedroom 1 with a pair of doors and has a single bed and a cot ( travel). The front porch has a set of dining chairs for dining when it gets too hot in the garden.The new modern complex also houses many bars, restaurants and shops. There is plenty to do and see in the area, a trip to Alicante is a must

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Gran Alacant is situated on the Costa Blanca "The White Coast" just south of Alicante. Whilst the coastline has numerous beautiful white sandy beaches, inland is also well worth exploring with mountain villages and pretty wooded valleys. Alicante province is the second most mountainous region in Europe after Switzerland. There is a very healthy all year round climate with over 300 sunshine days a year making the area excellent to visit in the off-peak season.
There are six golf courses within 40mins drive from our house, all excellent challenging courses. Driving causes little problem in the region with a good network of roads in excellent condition.


Gran Alacant / Puerto Marino area

There are numerous places to visit from Gran Alacant, Santa Pola being the nearest town with its 6 beaches and vibrant fishing port. A stroll and a coffee in one of the many cafes along the sea front rounds off the day.
Inland from Santa Pola is Elche with its numerous palm gardens and shoe factory outlets.
Further down the coast is La Marina,Guardamar and Torrevieja all excellent resorts with clean safe beaches
To the north is Alicante itself which is a very busy shopping centre and lively port with many bars and restaurants
A little further up the coast again is Villajoyosa with its colourful fishermans cottages.

Gran Alacant is just 10 mins from Alicante El Altet airport by car or taxi. Despite its closeness the house is well
away from the flight path which goes out to sea
There are numerous budget airlines to Alicante from all UK airports, Easyjet, Flybe, Monarch,Thomson etc
Car hire is available at the airport and it pays to book online before departure we use Primercars or Solmar
If you do not wish to drive, Taxis are available at the airport and are inexpensive.A car is not absolutely essential
If our stay is a reasonable length we often drive down to Gran Alacant from the Brittany Ferry at Santander or the P & O Ferry at Bilbao either trip takes about 10 hours via Madrid and passing through some very beautiful scenery

Outside where you are likely to spend most of your time, there is a pretty triangular swimming pool which is a uniform depth of approximately 1.40m deep throughout.Pool towels are not provided. The gardens are fully tiled with borders well stocked with exotic plants The rear patio has a teak dining set and is ideal for al fresco dining barbecueing and watching the setting sun.There are 3 supermarkets within 400meters giving plenty of choice for shopping. The roof solarium is private for sunbathing with 2 reclining beds and 2 reclining chairs.


Conditions

The property is suitable for small children as garden is secure and gated but with caution as there is a swimming pool which is not fenced off from the rear patio.
Smoking is strictly not permitted inside the house but is permitted outside
A refundable breakages deposit of £150 is required and is refunded within 14 days of your stay on approval of our Property Manager
A payment of 60 euros is required for cleaning and is paid locally on departure
A 25% booking fee is required with the balance due 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your stay
