The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Known for its fantastic climate and dry weather the Costa Blanca is a great place to holiday. Gran Alacant lies just 10 mins form Alicante airport, within easy reach of the main towns of Alicante and Torrevieja. Santa Pola is just 5kms away and is a beautiful coastal resort with a lively fishing industry. You can take the coast road from the bottom of the hill to this lovely town and take a boat ride to the island of Tarbarca. Mar Menor is approx 1 hours drive (easy driving) with its beautiful beaches. Benidorm is approx 1 hour in the other direction for lively nightlife and its many attractions. Gran A|acant itself ,has a choice of bars and restaurants and plenty of local supermarkets to stock up on wine and beer to drink on your terrace!
Gran Alacant / Monte Y Mar area
There is a weekly market on thursdays, 5 mins from the house, where you can pick up local fruit and veg, which tastes just delicious! The local beach, Caribassi, has fabulous sand dunes and stretches for miles, with plenty of free parking. There is a lovely nature reserve with BBQ area, close to the bars and restaurants at the bottom of the hill. We would recommend you hire a car when you arrive at the airport so you may visit some of the fabulous places the Costa Blanca has to offer, either coastal scenery, beaches or the beautiful nature parks inland.

Further details outdoors: If the beach does'nt appeal then relax on a sunbed on the roof solarium which has wonderful views of the surrounding area, or just chill around the communal pool only 1 minute away (sunbeds can be taken down and there is also some shade for the young ones).The roof solarium is ideal for eating alfresco after a day in the sun. Parking at the townhouse is not a problem.
