The two bedroom apartment located on ALTOMAR II in Gran Alicant. The apartment consists of an attractive lounge/dirning room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom and sun terrace. A TV (freeview) and DVD are available for your use. Highchair and cot available for rental (15 euros each per week payable to our keyholder)
This apartment also has the advantage of two communal swimming pools close by.
There are several small shops and a bank within two minutes walk from the apartment.
Down the hill at the Grand Plaza, there are three large supermarkets and several banks available as well as further shops and places to eat.

The apartment is on the ground floor (there are 3 steps up to the balcony/front door). All linen is supplied - you will need to bring your own beach towels.
The lounge/diner has TV( which offers freeview and english speaking channels) and DVD (there are a selection of dvds , which you are able to use).
There is then a separate kitchen, with fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine etc. The bathroom has a bath, over-bath shower,bidet and wc. There are ceiling fans available for summer use .
The balcony has a table and chairs, for use on the patio.There is a spare free standing fan also available.

The apartment is directly opposite the communal pool. Children can be observed playing by the pool from the terrace. During peak season there is a lifeguard.
There is parking immediately outside of the apartment. However, should you choose not to use this, there are ample spaces nearby.
Several shops and bars are no more than two minutes walk away.
The apartment is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to three steps leading to the apartment
There will be a charge payable locally at the end of your stay (you leave it in the apartment on departure) to prepare the apartment for you and to cover the washing of linen and the cleaning of the apartment after you have left. This charge is currently 45 euros and will be collected from the apartment by our local keyholder. Highchair and cot available for rental at 15 euros each per week, will need to be pre-booked.
We cannot guarantee that the nearest swimming pool will be open 52 weeks of the year, there are times when it has to be closed for maintenance (this is normally during the winter months).
Strictly no smoking except on the terrace.
25% of rental fee due upon confirmation of booking, with the balance due six weeks before your stay. Keys and further information are then posted direct to your UK address 10 days prior to your departure. We reserve the right to keep the deposit of 25% rental fee if the booker fails to pay the balance within the subscribed period depending on circumstances.
We do charge a refundable deposit of £50-00 against breakages. This is refunded following the property security check by our keyholder who lives nearby.
Please remember that this is our home and that we wish to maintain it to a standard that allows for happy holidays for our clients and for ourselves. Any complaints please let us or the keyholder know as soon as possible so that we can rectify.
The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Alicante is an ancient city with many modern facilites and attractions. Alicante marina has many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and is home to numerous yachts and motor cruisers. It has a modern shopping area housing many designer goods.
A stroll along the Esplanade is well worth a try, if only to observe the locals enjoying the concerts held there and to enjoy the market stalls which are open in the evenings.
About 40 minutes to the north is Benidorm, home to the skyrise hotels and also to TerraMitica and Terra Natura theme parks and to Mundomar sealife centre and Aqualandia waterpark. A futher 40 minutes drive will take you to the cosmopolitan city of Valencia.
To the south, again about 40 minutes, is Torrevieja, well known for it's large ex-pat community and building sites. It is worth a visit though to sample the seafront restaurants and coffee bars!
There are also the nature reserves around the salt lakes at Torrevieja and Santa Pola and at El Clot, on the outskirts of Gran Alacant itself.
The Gran Alacant / Altomar 2 area
Gran Alacant is an up and coming area - it is well served by bars and restaurants of many nationalities.
There is a local market held on a Thursday, Spanish and English supermarkets , and a good range of other shops, a pharmacy, clinic (inc. doctor and dentist), tourist information centre, banks (with cash dispensers) and bakers.
A few minutes by car takes you to a large shopping centre with yet more shops, restaurants and bars and the local bus takes you to the beach at Arenales (Carabassi) and further afield Santa Pola where there is a more shopping and a marina.
There is a regular and cheap bus service to both Santa Pola and Alicante. Look out for a small road train which travels around Gran Alacant. It runs every hour in the summer from 9am to midnight (less siesta time) and goes from the Commercial Centre to the Lighthouse then to Carabassi Beach.

Had a really relaxing holiday with superb weather and met some nice people. 100 yards from bars and restaurants and the touist train takes you to lots more. Supermarket 5 mins walk and the pool is less than 10 yards away. Decebt size TV with the British channels for those nights in, having said that sitting on the balcony beats watching TV.

We stayed at this premises from the past 5 years on a golfing holiday.The apartment is very central for golfers wishing to play at different courses. It is very clean with a lovely pool in front. All local shops & bars nearby. Very quite area. Lovely beaches nearby & a land train can for a couple of euros can take you to the bigger shopping area. If you want a relaxing holiday with a pool in front of your door step this is an ideal place to holiday.

stayed at this property in June this year and had a wonderful time, we were lucky enough to meet the owner Mike when we got there who straight away offered us a cold drink even though he was preparing to leave for the airport. the lady who looks after this property for Mike is also very helpful and you can always call on her if you have a problem. They have a great system in place whereby they leave sugar, tea, coffee, milk, water and whatever happens to be in the cupboard which you can use and just replace before you leave. this means you can at least have a cup of tea or coffee on arrival and until you find your bearings and get to know where shops and such are, excellent idea. would definitely stay there again.
