About the home

The Garden Cottage is a beautiful renovated cottage set in 30 acres of the Trewithen estate about 8 miles south of Truro.

It is ideally located for exploring the many coasts and beaches of the surrounding area, with the added benefit of other famous attractions near by, such as The Eden Project, Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Estate, and many other historical venues.

With private gardens of its own, as well as use of the surrounding grounds of this beautiful estate ‘The Garden Cottage’ is the perfect name for this retreat.

The lovely sunny conservatory is perfect for morning coffee over looking the garden with views beyond of the grounds.

On those lovely warm evenings why not sit in the enclosed garden with a glass of wine and dinner a perfect end to a perfect day.

A stunning room with delightful views across the gardens. Furnished with a stunning 5ft wrought bed and designer fabrics, the room has a light and fresh feel.

Hand painted beds and lovely fabrics. A delightful bedroom.

Bath with a shower above, beautifully decorated and overlooking garden.

Kitchen and dining area
Fully fitted new kitchen, incorporating all top quality appliances. Dining area comfortably seating 4 people, with excellent furniture.

Utility room
A second toilet, and washroom. Utility room includes washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer attractively presented incorporating a Belfast sink.

Lounge
Furnished to an extremely high standard, ceramic floors, large rugs, and to create that warm cosy feel we have installed a wood burner, even though The Garden Cottage is fully centrally heated.

A sunny conservatory overlooking the gardens, large lawn area and patio, all totally secluded behind oak gates. Parking for family cars and guests.

You, as guests, can enjoy all the splendour of Trewithen, name meaning 'House of Trees', and explore all that the gardens have to offer, with its reputation for producing some of the finest quality plants and shrubs in Cornwall.

Cornwall is a paradise for people who love the coastline and beautiful walks. The climate is mild and our cornish gardens our in bloom early season due to this. Cornish light is an artists dream with longer days and crisp clean unpoluted light.

A must visit when you are in Cornwall is the famous Eden Project, or a trip to Lands End where the atlantic ocean meets the rugged cliffs of Cornwall.

If the open Cornish air is your thing then another must is a trip to the ever popular Minack Theatre with performances from May to September.

If making your trip to Cornwall a very special memory is your aim then why not take a short flight by Skybus to the beautiful Isles of Scilly and spend a day relaxing in the perfect surroundings.

The Grampound area

Grampound is the home of the very prestigeous Trewithen Gardens.

The lovely Garden Cottage is in the grounds of this private country estate. Not only can you take in the stunning views of these gardens and make the most of the walks, there are several beaches close by for those who would like a swim.

Situated a short drive is Truro with its historic Cathedral and cornish markets. Probus is the closest village with local village amenities and public house.
