The South Wales region
Gower was the first in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an 18 mile long peninsula jutting out into the Bristol Channel. & is within easy access of Swansea with the largest covered market in Wales, & Oystermouth, an old fishing village dominated by its castle , & a hotspot for restaurants, boutiques & gift shops.
Parkmill is conveniently placed for excursions in all directions. It is a paradise for walkers & for those who may be interested, there is horse riding available just around the corner to explore the unspoilt countryside. The jewel in the crown is the famous Three Cliffs Bay, only 15 mins walk down a pretty valley, past a ruined castle, following the course of the river as it meanders towards the sea .In the first half of June , the Gower Walking Festival takes place with 71 guided walks over 16 days, for all ages & capabilities .
