An 1820's mid terraced stone cottage, (terrace of three), this is perfect for summer beaches or winter walking this cottage offers Inglenook fireplace with multifuel stove. Riven cream flagstone floor and new beds/bedding throughout and tastefully decorated. Quaint front garden overlooking green. Rear garden with plenty of parking and patio table and chairs, benches. Dishwasher, washer/dryer.

The South Wales / Swansea/Bridgend/Neath region

15 miles from Swansea, in West Glamorgan, South Wales, this could not be more different from the traditional image of the Welsh valleys and terraced houses. This 1820's cottage is situated in Llanmadoc, Gower Peninsula, Britains first AONB. The Gower is surrounded by beautiful beaches and woodlands, and rural villages each with their own character. Some of the most scenic limestone cliffs in the UK are found along the Gower coast, as well as hugely diverse flora and fauna.

Gower / Llanmadoc area

The Brittannia Inn (real ale/quality food) is found 100 yds down the hill. The cottage is on the village green below Llanmadoc Hill on top of which is found a bronze age fort (The Bullwork). Whitford Bay lighthouse, Llanmadoc beach, and Cwm Ivy woods and peninsula are some of the great walks which are walking distance from the front door.

Surfing at Llangennith, Mewslade, Port Eynon is a 5-10 mins drive. There is a Gower Folk Festival, Gower Agricultural Show in July (well worth a visit), and endless quality pubs and quality restaurants. Mumbles is 14 miles away and is always worth a visit.

How to get there

Fly Easyjet from Bristol or BMI Baby from Cardiff. Bus or taxi from Cardiff Airport.
Ferry Rosslare to Fishguard or Pembroke.
Swansea to Cork Ferry.
3-4 hrs driving from London Airports.

The cottage has two upstairs bedrooms (one with feature stone fireplace). Downstairs there is a bathroom with shower over bath, a kitchen, and lounge with beautiful inglenook fireplace plus dining room (feature fireplace).
The cottage is heated via storage heaters and additional plug in oil radiator if required. There is a dishwasher and washer dryer in the kitchen, plus separate tumble dryer in garage as well as a rotary and traditional clothes line and radiators. All furniture is new and good quality, including new pocket sprung mattresses on beds and new quality bedding.

Further details outdoors:
Rear patio, and nice sized enclosed private garden to relax and catch the sun or let your children play. Sheep wandering. Back door feeds out to stone patio area, with teak table and chairs, and teak benches. Lawned garden above - gated and fenced in privately. Small cottage front garden.

Payment by cheque sent to home address at Middle Cottage. Small deposit required then balance 14 days before visit.

Conditions

We operate weekly only bookings from May to September inclusive. Saturday to Saturday changeover is our norm but out of season we will be flexible. We ask guests to kindly depart by 11am, and ask for arrival not before 4pm on arrival day.
