The South Wales region
The Gower peninsular, just to the west of Swansea is Britain's first designated area of outstanding natural beauty. A well kept secret, unspoiled and without the crowds of the South West's more popular resorts. With easy access from the M4 it's only 3 hours from the Midlands and 4 hours from London. The Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks are within day trip distance.
Located centrally on the Gower, Reynoldston is an ideal base for a family holiday. Close the magnificent beaches of South and West Gower. Oxwich bay's huge and safe sandy beach is 4 miles away is ideal for young children. Surfers will enjoy a visit to Langland or Llangenith. For the adventurous you can try scuba diving, boat trips, sea kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, horse riding and wind surfing. There are also many opportunities for more leisurely pursuits with many footpaths, bridleways and the recent opening of the all Wales coastal path. The sunset viewed from Rhosilli at the western end of the Gower can be stunning.
Nearby Swansea has plenty to occupy you with museums, galleries, cinemas, theatres, shopping, leisure centre etc.
The Haven is a short walk from an excellent pub / restaurant, the King Arthur Hotel.
