Southern Wales region

In South Wales you're never far from a mountain or the sea - so it's no wonder walkers, cyclists, surfers and sailors love to come and visit. There is a real buzz about Swansea & the Gower , Carmarthenshire , Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay all have wonderful clean beaches and some surprising marine life.

Whether you fancy a cosy cottage or 5 star hotel, maybe you prefer getting back to nature camping or just a friendly b&b South Wales has it all and with so many things to do, why would you go anywhere else?

Whether you fancy making the most of the scenery on foot or horseback, getting out on the water for a spot of sailing or surfing, or are seeking thrills from sports such as kite surfing or rock climbing you'll find plenty to entertain you in Swansea and Gower.

For a more relaxing time head for a round on the golf course or cast a line in one of the rivers or bays. It doesn't matter whether you're experienced or just starting out, you'll find that all levels are catered for, so do something different for a change!

The Gower Peninsula is both beautiful and unspoilt, there are many historic features located over an area that measures just sixteen miles by seven miles wide. Notably, Gower was one of the first places designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' under the Act of 1949.

Clyne Country Park is a short clycle/drive away, which separates the area from Swansea itself, the city being a 10 minute drive from the property. The picturesque fishing village of Mumbles is also a 10 minute drive away, the shore line of Penclawdd is less than 2 miles away and take around 4/5minutes by car, making this property the most conveniently located accommodation of its type on the Peninsula.

The area is popular for outdoor pursuits; the following are available locally and can be organised for guests:

surfing, sailing, horse riding, indoor and outdoor climbing, cycling, scuba diving, boat trips, golf. Transport can also be arranged for guests wanting a day trip or venturing further afield. Tenby and the west is only an hour away by car and offer some fantastic amenities, including day trips to Caldy Island, Heatherton Sports and Theme Park, Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Anna Rider Richardsons Wild Welsh Zoo, and much more! If you would like to book any of the above, we will be only too happy to arrange any activities /days out you require!

"Completely Fabulous in every aspect"

First off I have to mention how brilliant the owners, Steven and Michelle, are. We had a particular reason for this booking and throughout the couple could not have been nicer or more understanding and we are truly grateful to them. They are a special couple and their welcome and treatment of us was genuine and heartfelt. Then we move to the house. Everything you read in these reviews is true, but you cannot appreciate how stunning this house is until you see it. Indeed, every need is thought of, the attention to deatil is impressive, the house is finished to an extremely high standard and its vast! Our party of 11 were lost inside it so we never felt on top of each other. In fact we had to pull some of the furniture together just so we could have a decent conversation. The snooker room is amazing with the hot tub just outside. We weren't in the house long enough with decent weather to appreciate the grounds and gardens but from seeing what we saw without doubt they were equally as impressive. Anyone of any age would find something to be impressed with this house. There are little personal touches left to make your stay even better, including bath robes and slippers, a welcome pack and best of all The Chocolate Brownies!!! Like everyone else before me, I cannot heap enough praise on this house. We already knew the area which has always been impressive at any time of year (we had a howling gale) and I strongly recommend you try to see as much of it as you can.

"A Fabulous Fortieth Birthday Celebration Weekend!"

I was looking for a house to celebrate my Fiancés 40th birthday where I wanted to organise a surprise weekend and dinner party for him with a group of our friends. Michelle and Stephen were really helpful from the beginning to end. The house looked great on the website but really blew us away when we got there. It was even better for my Fiancé as it was all a surprise and his eyes lit up as Michelle took us round the house and finally ended up in the snooker room and bar! A really beautiful house with some lovely touches, bath robes, shower gels and all the gadgets any party of men, women, children and dogs could possibly hope for. Please keep up the good work as we are telling all our friends. A weekend we will all remember and will be sure to return.

"The most amazing group accommodation you can imagine."

I booked The Pines as a surprise for my wife's 50th Birthday. I had arranged for nine of her friends to meet us there for a weekend of fun. I was met by the lovely Sue who showed me around the property and explained the many gadgets and additions that make this such a special property. From the photos I had seen I was expecting some level of luxury but they can never fully show just what this property has to offer. The two master bedrooms are absolutely sumptuous and the level of detail that has gone in to the design of the house should make its owners truly proud. The Kitchen is enormous and equipped with everything you could possibly want and more. The Pines has a beautiful lounge, plenty big enough to seat a dozen or more people. There are televisions and CD players all over the house and even speakers overlooking the barbeque area. I planned a big three course meal for my wife and her friends and the dining room provided the perfect place for all to enjoy it. The garden is enormous with a great play area for children and three areas for adults to sit and enjoy the views. But if its raining, no problem, as the Games Room has a full size Snooker table, bar with beer on tap and even its own toilet and shower! This place has to be seen to be believed and the perfect place for large family groups or for friends wanting to share time together. Thank you Steve and Michelle for providing such a wonderful location for our celebration. We will definitely be back.

"Amazing house, wonderful facilities, you will not be disappointed"

The house has been renovated to a very high standard, you cannot fail to be impressed. The owner has been extremely helpful and attentive to every little query we had, which I have to say weren't many because they had thought of most things, even down to the cocktail glasses which I am currently drinking from. If you are not impressed by this house and the facilities, including an amazing snooker room and bar, I'd be surprised - even my teenagers (who, let's face it are so hard to impress) found the house and facilities awesome! (their words not mine)
