This is a spacious property which suits families and friends alike. There is a large dining room with separate comfortable seating downstairs, and two additional living rooms where guests can watch TV or choose from the large DVD and video collection available at the house. There are toys and books for the evening to keep little ones amused, and in the summer, the conservatory gives a further choice of comfortable seating. As well as the dining area, which can seat all guests for a family meal, there is breakfast seating for four in the kitchen, which has a dual fuel range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. The washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in the conservatory, where there is also a drying rack and room to store walking boots, body boards etc.

There are four double bedrooms, one with kingsize double bed and three with twin beds. There is a large family bathroom on the first floor with a corner bath and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs there is a further toilet with wash hand basin.

The large garden to the rear of the property is not overlooked. It is enclosed on all sides, but the hedge to one side by the house can be penetrated by any doggie guests who enjoy escaping. ie dogs can run free in the garden, but should not be left unattended. There is a patio near the house, and different areas of the garden are shaded or in the sun throughout the day. To the front of the property there is off road parking for three cars.
Short breaks are available out of season.
The South Wales region
The Principality of Wales is on the western side of the United Kingdom. Swansea and the South Wales valleys have known their fair share of heavy industry, Copper mining gave Swansea its wealth in Victorian times and coal from the South Wales valleys was used to extract the metal from its ore. This means there is a significant amount of industrial heritage in the area, but this vies for historical interest with castles, natural landmarks and poets and artists such as Dylan Thomas and Ceri Richards. Ceri Richards was born in Dunvant, and his grave can be found in the local chapel in Dunvant Square.
Swansea is known as the festival city, and the name is well deserved. with the Gower Folk Festival, Swansea Festival of Transport and Gower Cycling Festival, to name but a few. The area is renowned for its beautiful beaches, many of which allow dogs all year round, and ready access to the motorway means that you can explore the local area further as well. "Spacious accomodation with a lovely secluded garden"
This house exceded our expectations with the ammount of space it had for everyone to spread out. The thoughtful provision of so many toys and games and DVDs to occcupy everyone was an unexpected bonus. There is understandably a little wear and tear on some furnishings etc, but I found that made us more relaxed with our family. There was an ample supply of crockery and cutlery etc. My daughter could have done with a larger stainless steel cooking pot, as the largest pan was aluminium which we don't use.
Centrally located for Swansea, Mumbles and Gower, a Sat Nav -or a good map reader- is useful to find your way to those glorious Gower beaches.
