Traditional Irish cottage set in the picturesque surroundings of the Gaeltacht area of Donegal. Convenient to local facilites such as horse riding, watersports hill walking and cycling. Nearest village is Gortahork 2km, nearest large town is Letterkenny 30km.
This traditional stone cottage, it's name taken from the gaelic Maidin Bhain (white morning), is over 150 years old. It has secure parking and is located up a quiet country lane 1.3 kms from the village of Gortahork.

The Donegal region
Located in the most north westerly part of Ireland, full of rugged beauty with stunning views of one of Irelands tallest mountains, Errigal. Spectacular views of Tory Island, just 9 nine miles off the coast, which is accessible by ferry from Gortahork. It even has it's own King! . The area is steeped in Irish culture, myth and music. An ideal location for those who enjoy hill walking, cycling or just relaxing.
Gortahork area
A quiet village nestled in the heart of the Irish speaking Gaeltacht area it is ideally placed for touring the beautiful surrounding countryside. It is close to the tourist attactions at Glenveagh National Park, The Poison Glen, Dunlewey Lakeside Centre, Mount Errigal and several fabulous local beaches. The area is also is renowned for it's traditional music sessions and local music festivals are in abundance throughout the summer season.
How to get there
Gortahork is 30 kms from Letterkeny which one of the major tows in Donegal. By car you take the N56 to Dungloe via Kilmacrennan, Creeslough, Dunfanaghy and Falcarragh. Gortahork is 3kms after Falcarragh.

Further details indoors: The cottage has been simply but comfortably furnished to retain the authentic charm of the setting and comprises of a fully equipped country kitchen, shower room and one large bedroom containing one double bed. The living room has a double pull out sofa bed. There is electric central heating as well as a multi fuel burning stove.
Conditions
Pets are allowed but need to be kept under control as there are farm animals in close proximity. Strictly no smoking inside the property.
