Pubs, restaurants & the local Pick & Pay supermarket are all within easy walking distance. 20 Cayman Beach is literally 75m from the beach and has excellent sea & mountain views. It's easy driving distance to the historic town of Stellenbosch, the surrounding wine routes and seven golf courses. Warm sunny days most of the year with stunning sunsets.

The Western Cape region

Sitting at the foot of the Hottentots Holland mountains and surrounded by the Indian Ocean lies Gordon's Bay. Centrally situated, it's an ideal base for visiting Cape Town, with the Victoria and Albert Waterfront and the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek & Hermanus are only 45 minutes drive away. There are many excellent restaurants (serving fresh locally caught fish) and places of interest and you'll pass dozens of beautiful wine estates along the way. This is the perfect location and one of the safest areas in South Africa.

Gordon's Bay area

Gordon's Bay (reminds us of the Cornish coast) boasts two harbours. Both offer excellent places to eat & drink and bay cruises & fishing trips are available from the Old Harbour. We moor our own 38ft sports fishing boat there and guests qualify for a 10% discount on all trips. See www.gbboatcharters.co.za for full details. The town itself has several good restaurants, shops & internet cafe and all overlook clean sandy beaches which slope gently into the warm waters of False Bay.

Golf enthusiasts have 7 good courses to choose from and all are reachable within half an hour.

How to get there

Gordon's Bay is 25 minutes from Cape Town International, when leaving the airport turn left onto the N2. Stay on the N2 until you have have gone through Somerset West and then passed a BP Service Station on your right, the turning to Gordon's Bay the next turning on the right and is signposted. Car hire is a must!

Home from home, all mod cons & maintained to a high standard. Comfortable & spacious accommodation for a large family or 3 couples. Bedroom 1 has an en-suit shower room & toilet and bedrooms 2 & 3 share a family bathroom which has a bath, separate shower cubicle & toilet. All 3 bedrooms have sea & mountain views. Large comfortable lounge with satellite TV, DVD, video & stereo systems. The fully fitted kitchen, dining & pub area are open plan and lead to the courtyard garden at the rear which is the braai area.

Further details outdoors:
A communal outdoor swimming pool & tennis court is available to guests along with free temporary membership of the Yacht Club in Gordon's Bay.

Conditions

25% deposit required when booking & the balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival.

A R2,000 deposit against damages is payable on arrival and refunded at the end of the stay, less any claims
