Home description

Located on the championship golf course of Golf Del Sur on the popular Sand Club complex, this high quality apartment is fully equipped for a relaxing holiday.

The apartment offers a twin bedroom with two double wardrobes and ample coat hangers. There is a double bed settee in the spacious lounge, which leads onto a private balcony. The fully fitted kitchen has all mod cons, including a washer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, microwave and sandwich toaster.

Bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. The spacious pool area has plenty of sun beds. There is also a separate children's pool. A cot is available free of charge and under 2's stay free.

For the more adventurous, diving, paragliding, windsurfing, rock climbing are all available close, by together with golf courses, crown green bowling, go-karting and much more.

The Tenerife region

The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is an island paradise. The island has lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals, deserts, mountains, volcanoes and stretches of spectacular beaches. Tenerife has always been a haven of activity. Year round, the 21 trails around the islands lead through all types of terrain for use by walkers and mountain bikers, and the island's demanding golf courses keep drawing players to the first tee.

There are also extensive watersports to be enjoyed, including waterskiing, windsurfing and sailing. The deep sea fishing here is also fantastic, with the possibility of catching barracuda, tuna, sailfish and various types of sharks.

The SCUBA diving on the island is also exceptional, and you can swim with turtles, dolphins, rays and plenty of tropical fish.

If you can, try to catch the carnival. It is said to be the best outside of Rio de Janeiro, and is filled with parades, colour and music.

Tenerife's largest tourist playground is the Playa de las Americas. This resort boasts three natural beaches, three man-made, dark volcanic sand beaches, tennis, amusement arcades, bowling, go-carting, jet skiing, banana boating, horse and camel riding, golf and whale watching, Los Cristianos is an extension of Playa de las Americas, but a resort in itself, Los Cristianos is more peaceful and laid back.

There are also speciality resorts here. There are a number of golf courses, good bars and great shopping. El Medano is next to the World Cup beach of El Cabezo, and has conditions perfect for windsurfing, mountain biking and surfing.

Weather in Tenerife:
The 'island of eternal spring' has mainly uniform temperatures although winter is slightly cooler. Average temperatures are 21°C in the coldest months (January and February) and 31°C in the summer.

Golf del Sur / Sand Club area

Golf Del Sur is perfectly located in the south of the island of Tenerife, a 10 minute drive from the airport and the major resorts of Los Christianos and Playa de las Americas. Golf del Sur is a quieter, family orientated resort.

If you are looking for nightclubs and beaches then Golf del Sur is not the place for you, although there are beaches and nightclubs a bus/taxi ride away in Playa de las Americas.

Whatever you want from your holiday be it peace and tranquillity, lively nightclubs or beautiful scenery, golf or water sports, Tenerife has it all to offer. The apartment offers a high standard of accommodation in a quiet location.

How to get there

Getting to Tenerife is easy with both charter and scheduled (Monarch Airlines, Ryan Air, Easy Jet) available from airports all around the UK, to name but a few. We have regularly found return flights from £100 or less and these were not short notice last minute flights either. Please contact us if you require web addresses.

Car Hire - there are many companies to choose from. Personally we nearly always use www.autoreisen.com
and book online. The company are efficient and online booking is easy to to. You collect you car from the airport and english is spoken in the office. Other companies include Nisa Cars, Hertz, Avis, Orlando Car Hire to name but a few.

Taxis are easy to come by and reasonable in price.

This light and airy apartment offers the ideal base for you holiday. It is fully equipped to help you to make the most of your stay.

The kitchen has everything you might need, including all the little things you never seem to get when booking through holiday companies, such as freezer, sandwich toaster, cooking dishes, measuring jug, sharp knives, juicer, plenty of tea towels etc.

The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with high and low level lighting, a decent sized TV rather than the portables you sometimes get. There is a sofa and two easy chairs. There is also a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games to keep you amused.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and large vanity unit with inset sink and a huge mirror over. Shaving point.

The private balcony has table and chairs for those al fresco meals and there is a parasol to keep you cool.

There are two sun loungers for the sun worshippers amongst you, together with the shared pool which is two minutes stoll through the complex away.

The gated pool area has lots of sunbeds which are free of charge to guests. A coolbox/ice packs are provided should you wish to take a picnic to pool or beach.

Further details

Access - there are 6 steps, a turn, then a further 6 steps get to the apartment which is on the first floor. Once inside everything is on the same level.

Parking is available close by.

* Apartment is strictly non smoking - please use the balconies if you wish to smoke.
* A deposit of £50 secures your booking with the final balance due 8 weeks before you travel.
* A refundable security deposit of £100 is required with your final balance to cover loss of keys or breakages.
* The apartment sleeps up to 4 people plus one child under two (in cot).
* Discounts are available for bookings of 1 month or more - please ask for details.
* No pets.

We found this apartment to be just what we expected and would recommend it to all who wish a quiet and relaxing holiday. Golf del Sur is a pleasant refreshing area well away from the hustle and bustle of Los Cristianos or Las Americas, well suited to the over 55s. Thank you Joe and Jane.

Apartment perfect,lots of little touches to make a truly relaxing holiday. Very well maintained. Excellent location - we could walk to bars & restaurants. Owners very helpful,allowed guests to stay in apartment till flight went. Lovely walks all along coast & marine with two bars.
