The views of Mount Teide are awesome. This large inactive volcanic mountain dominates the island. So much so that you will want to gaze from your sunny villa up to the snow-capped mountain. Day-trips are recommended.

The Tenerife region


Tenerife is a favourite destination for 12 months of the year - due to it's all year round sun. In fact there is more sunshine, less rainfall and warmer temperatures here than than any other destination within 4 hours from UK/Ireland.
It is one of the sunniest places on the planet, known as the island of the "Eternal Spring", it was awarded number 5 in the top 10 places in the world for a holiday by the BBC's Holiday Programme
So forget about long flights to glamourous overpriced destinations, if you want to get a tan, relax, have fun ...it's perfect.
Tenerife is roughly 170km from the NW coast of Africa (Sahara/Morocco). The weather is warm throughout the whole year, which is why it is a popular destination all year round (especially from October to April).
The Golf del Sur / San Blas Valley area
The villa is set within a nature reserve and is part of San Blas Hotel - a beautiful five star property located amid ravines in San Miguel de Abona.
Only 116 villas are situated in San Blas hotel with all the advantages of living next to a nature Reserve. All villas are constructed in an attractive Canarian style to fit elegantly into the surrounding natural landscape. Traditional architectural features like the Canarian wooden balcony and the use of native plants in the garden show great respect for the island and the surrounding area.
The sea is just a few minutes walk away and there are great views of the sea. Mount Teide, the third largest (inactive) volcano in the world dominates the landscape and looks awesome.
The villas are situated between the quiet Spanish town of Los Abrigos (with it's own bars and restaurants which overlook a small fishing harbour) and Golf del Sur. It is only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants of Los Abrigos or 10 minutes to the bars, restaurants and shops of Golf del Sur.
The Golf del Sur resort, generally referred to as "the Golf", is very different in comparison to the resorts of Los Cristianos and Las Americas. Situated on the coast by the Atlantic Ocean, it has a tranquil, laid back village like atmosphere.
It makes an ideal location for a golf holiday, with 2 courses 5 minutes away and a further 2 within a 15 minute drive. Golf del Sur and Amarrilla Golf with 27 and 18 holes to play, are just next door to San Blas Village.
It is home to one of Tenerife's premier championship golf courses - so it is a big favourite with golfers.
With it’s 27 hole championship golf course, Golf del Sur it is a real 'golfers paradise'. The club offers a golf school as well as practice facilities, club hire, a tennis court, lawn bowls green, bar-restaurant and a pro shop.
The avenues of Golf Del Sur are lined with bouganvilla, flowering plants and sub-tropical palm trees and as you enter the resort, you notice the greenness of the golf fairways contrasting beautifully with the arid landscape of the rest of the South of the island.
Neighbouring the Golf Del Sur course is the Amarilla Golf and Country Club. The character of this 18 hole course is marked out by the incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. Inaugurated in 1989 it hosted the second edition of the Tenerife Open, part of the European PGA Tour. From the first tee, the player discovers the spectacular ocean views.
Tourists are well-catered for on the island. For example, there are various two water-parks (great fun !!) and a well-run zoo with rope bridges, karting etc a short drive away. There is easy access to all of these places from the main road nearby. Trips to Los Christanos, Playa de las Americas as well as the rest of the Island are easily accessible from the main road.
San Blas Reserva Ambiental is designed to appeal to all age groups with a mini club for the younger guests, a 27 hole golf course located next to the resort 'Golf Del Sur' and a lake in the San Blas Environment Reserve.
There is easy also access to the main highway of Tenerife giving the possibility to get everywhere you want.
There are only 4 kms from the Airport Reina Sofia and 7 kms from another tourist centre of the South of Tenerife, Costa Adeje - Los Cristianos. Being just 5 minutes drive from Tenerife's main motorway (the TF1) it is the ideal base for those wanting to explore the delights of Mount Teide and the rest of the island.
The villa is also only 3 kilometres away from one of the biggest service areas in the South of Tenerife (Las Chafiras), with banks, supermarkets, rent-a-cars, hardware stores, restaurants, shopping centres and much more.
Located in the sunny south of Tenerife with the sandy beaches of Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje nearby as well as numerous tourist attractions (superb golf facilities, water parks, zoo/jungle park, shopping, night clubs) a 20 minute drive away.
With this villa you can stay in a natural environment but still have all the activities and amenities of a 5 star hotel on your door-step.

Cheap flights are available from all Major UK airports e.g. Monarch Air, Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways. Check with your local airport or online. The earlier you book the cheaper the price.
The accommodation is only 8km from the Airport, threfore it is not essential to hire a car. Tenerife is a Freeport so you just pick up your luggage after passing through passport control - no customs - then take a taxi (usually a large air conditioned Mercedes) outside Arrivals, pull up outside our apartment, pay the taxi ( up to 20 Euros), put your key in the door and there you are.
Transfer time is approximately 15 mins.
There are several Car Hire companies operating from the Airport and from the nearby Golf del Sur e.g. Cicar, Hertz, Europcar.
All local amenities - beach, bars, restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance.
