Our apartment has its own very sunny, private balcony, with sea view. Views of the sea and pool can be enjoyed, together with the subtropical gardens at the side of the balcony. The apartment is semi-detached, and is situated on a corner. So on the balcony, you can relax, undisturbed by noise – only birdsong will break the silence, or the gurgling of the stream outside the apartment. Our lounge is furnished for a ‘home-from-home’ comfort, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, if required. The complex is a four-star complex and is 100 metres from the sea. It has beautiful exotic gardens, pools and rock formations, so that from the top pool, water trickles down to a waterfall, cascading into the swimming pool. There is a buffet / a la carte restaurant, a weekly barbecue; launderette; supermarket are available on the complex. A bus stop, taxi-rank is outside the entrance to Parque Albatros.

The Tenerife region
FEBRUARY: The biggest Carnival is held in February in the capital of Santa Cruz which is one of Europe’s biggest carnivals. This grand street party is a lavish spectacle of extravagant costumes and Latin American dance music which rivals that of Rio de Janeiro. The Carnival begins with the election of a queen of the festivities and builds to a climax on Shrove Tuesday when there is a large procession, concluding with the ‘funeral’ of a huge mock sardine on Ash Wednesday. ALSO, there are many Golf Tournaments. MAY/JUNE: Corpus Christi , La Orotava and La Laguna (Tenerife) - The streets of the town are filled with flower carpets in striking patterns, while the Plaza del Ayuntamiento is covered in copies of works of art, formed from coloured volcanic sands. AUGUST: Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria (14/15 August). Pilgrims come here in their thousands to venerate the Canary Islands' patroness. The basilica of Candelaria is home to the Virgen de Candelaria, proclaimed in 1599 as the patron saint of the Canary Islands, and is a place of pilgrimage for the entire archipelago. SEPTEMBER: Fiesta del Charco (7-11 September), San Nicolás de Tolentino (Gran Canaria) - People leap into a large saltwater pond to catch mullet, and have wonderful street parties and fantastic firework displays. ALSO, World Windsurfing Championships are held in El Medano 5 km away. NOVEMBER: San Andres: (29/30 November) New wine tasting festival in Icod, La Orotava and Puerto de la Crux.
Golf del Sur / Royal Parque Albatros area
The San Blas Centre, just 15 minutes walk away, is one Golf Del Sur's gems. It is a combination of Shops, Supermarket, Bank, Chemist, Bars, Restaurants, School, Nightclub, DVD/Video hire, car hire, diving school, internet cafe, gift shops and a Church. There are Restaurants and bars a plenty. But this is not the noisy - lager fuelled environment found in the Veronicas & the Patch area of Las Americas, it is family orientated - with free entertainment put on every evening in the top and bottom squares in the centre.
Shops include a well stocked Netto Supermarket, Spanish Style - great for duty free alcohol & tobacco - it even takes UK pounds. Also a large Mercandona (equivalent to a very large Tesco!) at Las Chifras, Various Gift & Perfume Shops. If you have not been to Tenerife before do not buy any "Duty Free" goods on the way out or on the aircraft - prices are much cheaper in Tenerife.
GOLF DEL SUR: Tenerife boast's five golf courses and there two new ones on the way! With the all year round weather it has become one of the top destinations for a golfing holiday!! This Tenerife golf course, has black volcanic sand in the bunkers. The wide fairways are lined with a wide variety of indigenous plants that, with its palm trees and giant cactus plants, the 800 square-metre course beside the Atlantic Ocean is like a veritable oasis. To the right of the wide fairway is a water hazard, behind which lies an impressive ravine with an ochre-coloured rockface, while to the left is a gaping bunker of black sand. The Golf del Sur is the home of the Tenerife Open where world stars such as Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els have all tried their hand around this spectacular course.
AMARILLA GOLF: Neighbour of Golf del Sur is Amarilla Golf. From the course you will enjoy the incredible views of the majestic Mount Teide. During your round you will be surrounded by a broad variety of typical Canarian flora. The designer of the course, Donald Steel, was able to take advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the Island to achieve a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. From the first tee, the player discovers the spectacular ocean views. At one point, the sea becomes a fairway, making it necessary to cross it in order to reach the green.

Further details outdoors: THE LEADING IMAGE IS A GENUINE PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN FROM OUR BALCONY. The apartment is set in exotic gardens, with sub tropical palms and flowers. At the top of the gardens, a pool meanders through the gardens natural rock formations, leading to a large waterfall, which cascades down into the lagoon style swimming pool, with gardens on the left and the blue Atlantic in the distance. There is a large wrap-around balcony, as the apartment is a corner apartment, making it semi-detached. Early morning sun falls on the balcony, and remains there for most of the day. The complex is a haven for birds, and time can be spent listening to the sound of bird song, and the gurgling of the stream, which runs outside the apartment. On the balcony there is a table, two chairs and two recliner chairs. There is a seaview from the balcony and also a pool view. To the left of the apartment there are the tropical gardens, and waterfall which falls down from the top part of the garden into a pool which can be found in the lower levels close to the paths outside the apartment, from here the water falls into the swimming pool. The complex has a beautiful heated communal pool (even in winter), garden area, and is within a stones throw of the sea and local golf course - you could not wish for a better location. As well as the swimming pool - always attended by a Lifeguard, there is a children's play area, with rocking horse and swings; a la carte restaurant, launderette, and supermarket. A bus stop and taxi rank are right outside the main entrance to Parque Albatros. This is not the noisy environment of Las Americas, but is family orientated - with free entertainment every evening in nearby San Blas.

Guestbook
"The apartment was far more than we expected, and when some friends visited us, who have there own apartment in the ……….complex, they commented, that if they had booked the apartment over the internet, on entering your apartment they would have thought they had won the Lottery. It was everything you said and more, first class. Other friends who were on holiday at the same time, but booked into the ………. ………. complex, also commented that they preferred your accommodation. We have today recommended your apartment to some friends, and we believe they will be contacting you in the near future. We would also like to thank you for making things very simple when booking your apartment. We will certainly contact you again when we propose to holiday in Tenerife, once again thank you." Your Sincerely -John and Angela
"Thank you for a lovely stay at your apartment. The facilities were great, as was the weather and I especially enjoyed sitting on the wonderful sunny balcony. I hope to stay again. Best wishes, Cherie"
