Home description

A large air conditioned villa in one of the most picturesque and prestigious areas of Golf Del Sur. The villa is, modern, bright, spacious, and has fabulous views of the ocean from the garden, patio, lounge, dining room, kitchen and upstairs bedroom.

Golf Del Sur is ideal for families, couples and golfers who want to relax in a warm climate with wonderful surroundings. Everything has been done to make our guests happy and to ensure that they have a ‘hassle free’ holiday. You will enjoy lazy afternoons on the sunny garden/patio followed by dinner ‘al fresco’ under the stars, so put up your feet, relax and enjoy!

The Tenerife region

The villa is situated in Tenerife South and has all year round sunshine with temperatures rarely dropping below 22 degrees. One of the advantages of taking a winter break is not only experiencing the warm sunshine but also having longer hours of daylight than northern Europe; the earliest it goes dark is around 6.30pm.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands measuring some 2000 sq km, the geographical centre of which is occupied by The Mount Teide National Park. This is one of the most visited parks in Spain. The magnificent, dormant volcano reaches an altitude of 3,718 metres and dominates this spectacular landscape.

Santa Cruz, the capital is a 40 minute drive and has many shops and museums as well as open air swimming pools and beaches.

If the beach is your thing then you are spoilt for choice from a rocky beach and a lovely sea front walk only 100 metres from the villa to many sandy beaches in all directions.

Within a twenty minute drive from the villa there are countless towns and villages for you to visit including: Los Abrigos, El Medano, Silencio, Los Gigantis, Los Cristinanos, Los Americas, Adeje, Fanabe etc etc. Many of these places hold weekly local markets where you can buy wonderful fresh food, clothes and gifts.


Golf del Sur / San Miguel Village area

There is plenty to do and see in this area. Very close to the villa are an abundance of golf courses (the nearest one being less than five minutes from the villa) including a 27 hole championship course, together with a grass driving range, there are also two pitch and putt courses.

However, Golf Del Sur is not only for golfers, the area has as a wealth of other activities to suit all ages.

The coast of San Miquel and Arona especially attracts water sports enthusiasts: El Medano hosts world windsurfing and new windboard sports. There are also daily boat trips to see the whales and dolphins and you can even take a dive in a yellow submarine from the new marina which is just a few minutes walk from the villa.

Within a short drive there are two really good water parks, the most recent one to be completed is Siam Park (due to open summer 2008). Siam Park is an enormous water park that houses the worlds largest artificial surf machine.

Other local attractions include the world famous Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz, this is a really good day out for all the family.

Only a short walk from the villa are the very popular outdoor bowls greens available both day and night.

The area is also perfect for walking, hiking, cycling, fishing etc.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink within a very short walk from the villa. Within two minutes walk you have San Blas. San Blas is a typical Canarian shopping and entertainment area. There is a supermarket, banks, hairdressers and numerous bars and restaurants. Some of our favourites are the Tapas Bar that serves wonderful local food at a very reasonable price. Gullivers is another excellent restaurant we would recommend. La Tavernoa is a must for breakfast, the coffee is lovely. San Blas is a lovely relaxing place to eat/drink daytime or evening (most nights some entertainment) and were children are made very welcome.

A couple of minutes walk in the other direction is El Nautico Hotel and Apartments. El Nautico has a seafront café/bar which is open to non-residents. Not only is the food and drink (especially in happy hour) very reasonably priced you are having your drinks/food in what could only be described as incredible setting; you are literally only steps from the ocean – a must!

There are numerous other bars and restaurants within a short drive (taxis available day and night at San Blas). Los Abrigos, less that five minutes in a car is a lovely fishing village that host several sea food restaurants, it also has a Michelen star restaurant (Le Roc) that is excellent. El Medano is about 4 kilometres away and has countless bars/restrurants.

Within a 20 minute drive there is Los Cristianos, Los Americas, Adeje, Silencio, Los Giantis etc. etc. I hope by now you are realising you would need months rather than weeks in our villa to visit just some of these wonderful places.

Car hire is also available on San Blas, you can hire a car by the day/week.


How to get there

There are many airlines who fly from airports in the United Kingdom to Tenerife South, one of the most recent being Easyjet. I suggest visiting websites such as Flightline or SkyScanner, these websites will conduct a search of many of the major airlines for you. I also use Monarch, First Choice, XL and Ryan Air. It is worth a little research as the prices vary greatly.

One of the bonuses of our villa is that it is only ten minutes from the airport, so no sooner do you land than you are in your holiday home.

If you want to hire a car it couldn't be easier. You can either hire one from the airport or you can hire one from the village square (only two minutes from the villa). Cars can be hired either daily/weekly. We will happily arrange this for you.
