Spacious, child friendly , luxurious villa in an excellent location on prime gated complex in Gulf del Sur with garden at front and rear, suitable for relaxing family holiday. Attention has been given to child security with lockable gate on back patio and top and bottom gates on the interior stairwell. Lovely open aspect from upstairs balcony where you will enjoy the view as you relax in the sun and dine. Near to restaurant and very close to main pool, heated November to beginning of March
The main entrance hall leads into the master bedroom with key aspects of beautiful built in wooden furniture and addtional storage cupboards above. Adjacent is the new bathroom with walk in shower, bidet and large bath area. The modern kitchen features some unique aspects with beautiful white aluminium sliding windows for freshness and matching white aluminium glass servery hatch doors opening on to a broad granite breakfast bar with a view across the complex and horizon.
The lounge has a large flat screen TV and a DVD. The furniture is white ash wood and rafia with a round table extending to 6 places and a divan with new innersprung matress. This opens on to the upstairs terrace where there is patio furniture and lovely views across the main swimming pool and hills in the distance; ideal for relaxing drinks and meals. (A cot and highchair are also available.)
Down stairs is the second bedroom with twin beds, furniture and cupboards. This has a large en suite bathrrom fully fitted with bath shower and cupboards. The washing machine is under the sink unit for easy access to the outside drying facilities on the patio.This spacious area is secured with a lockable gate.

This luxurious apartment has been redesigned for 21st century living and contains the most up to date appliances available. There is an excellent array of cooking utensils and stainless steel pots for those keen on self catering. There is a brand new full size dishwasher with tablets provided. Excellent food can be obtained from the Mercadona while the little 'Price is Rite' supermarket, in the complex opposite the front door, sells fresh croissants daily and french bread and baguettes.
On arrival you will be given a welcome pack while sugar and cleaning materials including new vacuum cleaner, and steam iron are provided.
Special consideration has been given to the safety and security of children and its prime location next to the pool and outdoor games area is unique on the complex. It is hoped that this luxurious apartment will be appreciated and valued by its occupants.

102 The Palms has gardens to front and rear giving added privacy. The whole complex is mostly single storey with just 20 duplexes and is covered in beautiful gardens making it very private. The gates are all locked adding to security. The whole gives a feeling of beauty and relaxation although plenty of excitement is to be found in the area.

Because the table is brand new we would request that this is covered with the table guards provided; circular for round table for 4 people; oval for 6 people. These plus the beautiful dinner service can be found in the adjacent cabinet. There are a number of good plastic beakers and plates provided for children and use outside.
Conditions
A cot and highchair can be made available for very young children on prior arrangement with owners and in this instance 7 people could be accommodated.

The Tenerife region


Tenerife is an all year round ideal location with a wide range of experiences to choose from whether you require pure relaxation or a more active holiday. It is a mountainous volcanic island with a sun drenched south and a verdant north. The two are separated by the majestic Mt. Teide which rises to over 12,000 feet. The road goes due North from The Palms crossing over the motorway and rises up through San Miguel de Abona, and Villaflor. The vegetation changes dramatically with beautiful forrest and the moonscape area on top is very dramatic.
There are superb walks from the old town of Adeje up The Baranco del Inferno and the village of Masca, down the Baranco (a guide is advisable). The northeastern side has spectacular scenery and walks. The historic town of Puerto de la Cruz has beautiful squares with old buildings (also found in Santa Cruz) and Loro Park is an excellent day out with the Sea lions' and Orcas' displays.
Closer to The Palms is The Zoo near Chayofa which has an elevated rope path through the jungle and a self drive roller coaster in addition to a Macaw Show. There are popular attractions like Aqualand, jeep rides and boat journeys to see whales and dolphins. The ferry goes across to the island of La Gomerra from Los Christianos, where there are also excellent walks.
The Golf del Sur / The Palms area
The Palms has a number of attractions close at hand:
-The Atlantis Spa
-two golf clubs: Gulf del Sur and Amarillo Gulf
-flat green bowling- The Winter Gardens-
-for runners - some good routes past Amarillo out towards Costa del Silencio. (information on routes
avaiable from owner, a former runner)
-for mountain bikers good rides in the South
-for walkers and wildlife good routes in the south
-for horse riding avaliable in the San Miguel area
-for watersports El Medano and diving in Costa del Silencio (details from www.sanmigueldeabona.org)
-for nightlife The Palms, San Blas Village, or further afield to Los Christianos and Las Americas.
The owners have been to Tenerife many times and are able to advise on a whole range of acitivities ands places of interest.
Los Abrigos just to the east can be reached by walking across the beach and headland. It has a jetty and beautiful fresh fish restaurants: especially recommended are The Mirador and the Los Abrigos. You can go by car or taxi from just opposite The Palms and further along the road is the beautiful red sand of El Medano beach. Here there is excellent swimming and an area for para surfing. There are a number of diving clubs in Costa del Silencio and horse riding up at San Miguel. Near here is a mock castle which has jousting with knights, an excellent evening's entertainment.
There is a tourist information point on the road into Gulf del Sur where English is spoken and you can obtain many leaflets. Details of all activities from owner or visit www.sanmigueldeabona.org
The Palms complex has a restaurant which provides live entertainment, with Kareoke on two nights. The pool by the house and restaurant is heated from November till March and there are games machines for children. If you want just a little stroll, the walk around the complex will reward you with lovely trees, shrubs, cactii and additional swimming pools.
For those who simply enjoy cooking 102 is equipped with most requirements. Everything is on hand to suit all tastes for a wonderful holiday The beautiful new kitchen and lounge give a real ambience and if you prefer to barbecue there is all you require downstairs and excellent food available from the Mercadona supermarkerket in Las Chafiras.

Car hire firm La Sabinas dierctly opposite The Palms offers good deals. Car can be collected at and returned to airport. Taxis are also only 15 euros and easily obtained. Buses leave from Gulf del Sur for many areas.

We were a family of 3 generations visiting our family living in the north of Tenerife. This was a last minute booking. The villa was lovely, very clean and the downstairs bathroom was loved by my daughter. I must say we did enjoy our weeks break here but the planes were a big problem. The noise at variable times during the night 1.30am 2.30am 4.30am 6.30am meant we did not sleep as well as we have in our past visits when we have stayed closer to Los Cristianos although my grandchildren thought the planes were fantastic to wave at during the day. If your a plane spotter this is the place for you unfortunately not for us. We did enjoy the going to the bar / restaurant downstairs but were disappointed by the run down closed pool bar which had cracked glass doors and weeds growing around its patio area. I have given this villa a 3 mainly because of the noise but if it was positioned somewhere else on the island it would of been a 5. Response: We are pleased that these guests thought highly of the house, but are sorry that they felt so disturbed by the planes. We are only 4k from the airport, which is of great benefit when arriving at the airport, because it means that guests don't have to travel great distances to their accommodation. The same consideration applies when guests are departing, they are often able to stay in the house until 4pm or later if no guest is coming until the following day, and make the 15 minutes travel to the airport, thus gaining an extra day for their holidays. As already stated there is not continuous disturbance from planes with busy days being Tuesdays and Fridays, which are the change over days for the hotels. The planes come in clusters with several hours' gaps in between. There is almost no night flying, just an island hopper. As stated already we have installed secondary double-glazing and the sound is no more than a truck rumbling past for 20 seconds. Total disturbance over the day is 25 minutes. The Palms is residential and numbers of people spend three to six months of the winter there, because it is such a nice place to stay. The benefits of the sun in the south of the island is more guaranteed than in the north and a week or a fortnight in our house helps a lot of our guests to break up the Winter in the UK. Many guests are returning this year for the fourth and fifth times. The spaciousness of our house holds a lot of appeal for parties of four or more as the downstairs with its own en suite bathroom and sliding doors to the large patio give a good deal of personal space. |

The property is in a great location - by the pool, in walking distance of a number of cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as shops and local marina. There is also a regular bus service around the corner should you wish to travel to one of the local towns further afield. The property itself is clean, well equipped with both a balcony and terrace overlooking the pool. We enjoyed spending time at the house reading, swimming, wandering over to the bar /cafe or down to the marina. We also enjoyed a game of crazy golf at the local golf club - again just around the corner. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday can be found within walking distance of the house. |

Five star accommodation. The owners have gone to a great trouble to ensure that this townhouse is superbly equipped. I was able to be as busy or relaxed as I chose. Drinks on the balcony while watching the sunset was one of the highlights of my visit. Don't forget to ask for details of El Mirador restaurant a short taxi ride away. (Lynn from Chester)

We really enjoyed our holiday. I do a lot of traveling and always try to rent apartments and your apartment is up there with the best of them. All the fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. There were no late parties in the complex so the kids could sleep.
I thought you gave us the wrong price - it was too cheap

surprisingly spacious.The location within The Palms is excellent being not even a stone's throw from the pool.
The people in the resort we also found very welcoming and friendly.
Did'nt eat in El Mirador but the waterfront in Los Abrigos is charming.We went for the reataurant at the very end of the waterfront one evening.
Also the Cuatro Esquinas and La Pimente Verde in San Miguel de Abona are very much the real Canarian deal and to be recommended.
We had a great week and will recomend your property to friends and colleagues as we regail our travels

Dear Raewyn,
The apartment was fantastic thank you. Very well equipped with lots of room and well looked after. We didn't venture too far outside Golf del Sur as peace and quiet was what we wanted and we found everything we needed in the way of entertainment with Babs and her staff in The Palms after a meal somewhere nearby.
