Just a short 10 minute drive from Tenerife South airport, and across from the international PGA golf course, this apartment is spacious, well equipped, with a terrace. Sleeping up to 4, it is bright and airy with solid Canarian style pine wood furniture throughout.
The comfortable lounge area has a double sofa bed, chair, coffee tables, dining table with chairs for 4, ceiling fan (to help keep things cool), television (a decent sized one not a small portable) with FREE BBC 1 & 2, ITV, C4 & 5, mini HiFi and DVD player.
The American style pine wood fitted kitchen and breakfast bar area is equipped with glasses, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, a 4-ring hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge.
The French doors lead from the lounge to the sun terrace (with 2 cushioned reclining chairs and patio table with 4 chairs) and garden - ideal for those Al-fresco meals.
The bedroom has a double bed (rare for 1 bedroom apartments in Tenerife), 2 bedside cabinets, a large full-length fitted wardrobe - clothes hangars are provided, ceiling fan, FREE safe, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. There is plenty of room to store your suitcases neatly out of sight under the bed or in the wardrobe.
The bathroom has a bath with shower, washbasin with illuminated mirror and marble surround, WC & washing machine for clients use. There is a large 75 litre water heater normally found in larger 2/3 bedroom properties - so there is always plenty of hot water available.
The main entrance to the Apartment has no steps leading up to the front door.
The apartment and complex is suitable for those with walking difficulties.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife has beaches of black and golden sand, you can play Golf , Scuba Dive, go Rambling, Horse Riding, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Cycling, Carting, Quad Biking, Wind surfing, Bowling, Fishing, Para Gliding or Whale Watching. Take an underwater Submarine excursion, play in a Water Park, go to the Zoos, take a Spa and shop till you drop. Golf del Sur / Sand Club area
Running from the Atlantic Coast, the Golf Del Sur resort surrounds the international PGA standard course (3 courses - North, South & Links), that is at the heart of the resort area. There is another excellent PGA standard course - Amarilla Golf - next door!
The resort is not just for golfers though - it is enjoyed by holiday makers of all types.
The nearby fishing village of Los Abrigos is famous for its Fish Restaurants and it's September Festival. Slightly further away - about a 5 minute drive - are the El Medeno beaches - the longest natural beaches on Tenerife (see the photos section) & renowned for their wind surfing. Facilities available locally or nearby are Car hire, Banks, many restaurants and bars, Church, Marina, Night Club, Supermarkets, Shops, Taxi Rank, Spa & Hairdressers. Local activities include Golf, Tennis, Bowls, Scuba Diving, Sailing, Fishing, Horse Riding, & Cycling.
Other activities within reach include: More Golf and Scuba Diving(!), Carting, Quad Biking, Deep Sea Fishing, Excursions, Windsurfing, Water Sports, Helicopter & Plane rides, Parachuting/gliding, Cycling, Hiking, Whale watching, Rambling, Birds & Penguins Theme Park and the Aqua Park.
The San Blas Centre is one the resort's focal points and it is only just a few minutes walk from the apartment. It is a combination of Shops, Supermarket, Banks, Doctor, Bars, Restaurants, School, Nightclub, car hire & excursion shops, internet cafes, gift shops and a Church surrounding a series of squares. There are plenty of Restaurants and bars - offering varied cuisine from the familiar (British - including a fish & chip shop) to French, Italian, Spanish, Indian and Chinese. But this is NOT the noisy - lager fueled environment found in the Veronicas & the Patch area of Playa Las Americas. It is family orientated - with free entertainment available every evening in the top & middle squares of the Centre.
A walk down the promenade by the deep blue Atlantic Ocean takes you to even more restaurants and pubs/bars.
If you are looking for a beach holiday on your doorstep or a clubbers' holiday do not go to Golf Del Sur.

GOLFING INFORMATION The Apartment is across the road from the Golf Del Sur international PGA Standard Course. Since its inaugural event, the greens and fairways of Golf Del Sur have provided the backdrop for various top international tournaments. The Shell Wonderful World of Golf tournament had a head-to-head battle between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson. The course has also been the setting for two golf driving distance records, First a new record of 398 yards and then, months later, it was broken again with a huge stroke which sent the ball flying 408 yards. Designed by Pepe Gancedo, it is an enjoyable layout where your attention is caught by the black volcanic sand in the bunkers. There is a special instruction area for teaching golf for groups at the beginner and advanced levels. The area includes different practice tees, greens, bunkers and chipping greens. Lessons are available from the resident professional. Golf Del Sur is great for winter golf in the sun. Advance booking is advisable and Handicap cards are required.

Amarilla Golf and Country Club (also PGA standard) is also just a walk away - though if you are carrying your clubs a taxi or car is advisable. From the course you enjoy incredible views of Mount Teide. During your round you are surrounded by a broad variety of typical canarian flora. The designer, Donald Steel, took advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the Island to achieve a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. From the first tee, you have spectacular ocean views. The most impressive part of the course is the 5th hole, where the sea becomes a fairway, making it necessary to cross it in order to reach the green.

How to get there
The nearest airport is Tenerife South (Reina Sofia) just 10kms away. So it is just a short taxi ride or drive to the Apartment. There are always plenty of taxis outside the Arrivals Hall at the airport and it should cost you around 15 Euros. If you wish to hire a car from the airport, the owners can give you very easy directions to get to the apartment and recommend car hire companies that they have used. Cheap flights to Tenerife are available from Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2.com, Thomas Cook, MyTravel, Excel and ThomsonFly Airlines from all over the UK everyday of the week - contact the owners and they will give you their web site address for low cost fares from ABTA bonded agents.

The owners have stated that unlike the Holiday Companies that use the complex, they do NOT charge extra for items such as the TV, Toaster, Microwave, Safe etc. It is all included in the price.
Further details outdoors: The Sand Club pool also has a children's section that is segregated from the main pool.
There is off road parking in front of the apartment. This is rare for Tenerife and ideal if you hire a car. The complex also has a car park.

Unless there is someone arriving on your departure day, you can stay in the apartment until the last minute for NO extra charge - making the most of your holiday. The owner's will let you know if you can do this.
The owners have stated that they regularly have had to turn down requests where people have not come back to them after an enquiry and been beaten to the dates by someone else. They always keep their prices and dates up to date on their availability calendar. They have a fast track system that can provisionally hold dates for you whilst you are arranging your flights. So why not speed things up & go straight to their web site (there is a link at the bottom of this advert) and book or reserve your accommodation online. Or if you prefer they also take bookings via the phone or email and payment by cheque.
