Golf del Sur / The Palms area
Situated in the sunny south of the island the Golf del Sur is approximately 10 minutes drive from the southern airport, approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Playa de Las Americas and approximately 40 minutes from Santa Cruz. Golf del Sur is one of Europe's premier golf and leisure resorts and is a beautiful location on the warm Atlantic ocean with a dramatic background of Mount Teide and surrounding mountains. Golf del Sur is a perfect base for a relaxing holiday, ideal for golfers, tennis, walking, fishing, water sports or just relaxing in the sun. There are two golf courses locally with the Golf Del Sur Championship 27 hole course a five minute walk away(www.golfdelsur.net) , Amarillo golf course has a signature hole where you drive over the sea(www.amarillagolf.es/ing/index_ing.htm) , an international bowling green, tennis courts,bars and restaurants, horse riding on the nearby Amarilla golf , go karting a short taxi ride away and Mount Teide a must see attraction. If you prefer more lively nightlife the resorts of Las Americas and Los Cristianos are only a ten minute drive away. The Palms, Golf del Sur is an ideal base to explore this lovely region and the many facilities of the south. The resort is in a level area adjacent to the Golf course clubhouse and is a leisurely 10 minutes stroll to the sea front and marina with seafront shops, bars, restaurants and the submarine safari.
For a leisurely stroll, sea front walkways stretch along the coast from Las Galletas to the nearby quaint small harbour village of Los Abrigos with some of the best fish restaurants in Tenerife with locally caught fish. Large sandy beaches are a 15 minutes drive away in Los Christianos, Las Americas,La Tejita and El Medano. El Medano is a windsurfing and sail boarding paradise and hosts international windsurfing competitions.

Directions from the airport which is approximately 10 minutes. Take the TF1 motorway heading toward Los Christianos.Take the first exit from the motorway at San Miguel cross over the motorway to the roundabout and take the 3rd exit, about 700 metres take the first exit onto the roundabout signposted Golf Del Sur. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometres to the one way system and then take the first left turn Calle Cardonnes, which is just past the club house and before the semi circular building on the left hand side. Follow this road down, past the Las Adelphas II reception, continue to the bottom of the cul-de-sac and No.69 is on the right hand side.
