The Tenerife region
Tenerife offers the widest range of tourist attractions of any of the Canaries, with its spectacular volcanic scenery and distinctive black sands. There are plenty of watersports on offer and a vibrant nightlife. Los Cristianos is an old fishing village, with ferry trips to the secluded islands of La Gomera and El Hierro which both boast dramatic scenery.
Golf del Sur / The Palms area
There is a new Marina with restaurants shops and is just 10 minutes walk away.
San Blas Square is about 10 minutes walk away and offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars. The quaint village of Los Abrigos is well known for its Fish restaurants, its also has a harbour which is about 20 minutes walk from the palms along the sea front. The beaches of El Medano host international competitions for windsurfers only 10 minutes drive away.
There are plenty of buses and taxis available, making it very easy to get out and about and explore the area.

Fly to tenerife south (seina reina). cheap flights are normally monarch, jet2. local buses run from golf del sur to los cristianos and las americas. local taxis and car hire available to town.
