About the home

Our award winning and air conditioned apartment at Parque Albatros is set in a quiet, well established 4* complex. All around the complex there are beautiful landscaped gardens with a waterfall and an abundance of tropical plants and flowers. The apartment is ground floor with a large spacious sunny patio which overlooks the lagoon style swimming pool and has sea views.

The apartment has been totally refurbished, decorated and furnished to a high standard. This includes granite worktops, solid hardwood furniture and high back leather chairs. Linen and towels are provided and a courtesy pack of tea, coffee, sugar, water and milk are provided on your arrival. The TV channels provide sports, news and terrestial stations. There is a DVD player and a ample selection of DVDs to watch. The hi-fi can play CDs, tapes and has built in memory card reader for playing music of MP3 players and mobile phones, so you can listen to your favourite tunes while sunbathing on the patio. A great selection of books and games are also provided. Everything to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible!

The apartment comfortably sleeps 2 - 5 people ( under 1's free, cot available) for a very reasonable price.

Upon entering the hallway the bedroom is situated on your left. This has 2 single beds, large mirrored wardrobe, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers with portable CD player on and an illuminated mirror above. A large central ceiling fan.

Next door is the spacious bathroom with bath, shower, wc and large illuminated vanity unit with basin.

The open plan kitchen has units with granite worktops and trims. Built in oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan with light. A large fridge freezer. Kettle, toaster and Microwave.

The extremely large lounge has a hardwood dining table with 4 high back leather chairs. Other matching hardwood furniture. Large and easy to assemble sofa bed. TV, DVD player and hi-fi. Central ceiling fan.

Further details outdoors:
The spacious sunny patio has overlooking views of the swimming pool and restaurant, beautiful sea views can be seen of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a round patio table with 4 comfy chairs and rockery with tropical plants and ornaments. There are 2 sunloungers with mattresses and a large parasol should shade be required.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife has all round great weather temperatures from 18 to 36c.
There are many places to visit and things to do.
A car could be hired even for a few days of your holiday and the island toured.
Take a boat trip from Los Cristianos to see the dolphins, or visit the lovely island of Gomera.
Top up your tan by sunbathing on one of the islands many beaches, or travel up above the clouds to Tenerife's volcano, Mount Teide.
Spend the day at Loro Parque, the parrot park, where the birds and animals are remarkable and the grounds absolutely beautiful.
For a relaxing holiday time could just be spent around Parque Albatros's large outdoor pool with cascading waterfall set in the beautifully landscaped sub-tropical gardens!

The Golf del Sur / Royal Parque Albatros area

Royal Parque Albatros has 24 hour reception, where trips and excursions can be booked if required.
The large outdoor pool (with lifeguard) has a cascading waterfall and a shallow children's pool area set in the beautifully landscaped sub-tropical gardens.
You can enjoy drinks in the friendly relaxed lobby bar. An enjoyable buffet, or a la carte meal at the poolside restaurant with terrace can be had, where you can eat and drink al fesco.
A children's club known as Club Baloo is run in a fenced off and gated area near the pool which provides a secure play area. Plenty of activities for the children from story-telling to treasure hunts.
A day and evening entertainment programme can be had from singers to magicians.
A laundry and well stocked supermarket selling all the items you need for self catering is available.
A 100m from Parque Albatros are several shops and restaurants, plenty with magnificent sea views.
A short walk is the splendid Marina, where a trip on the yellow submarine can be had.
1 mile away is San Blas Village with a great variety of shops and restaurants, here there is daily evening entertainment in the main square.There are also banks, car hire shops and places to change money.
A pleasant coastal walk can be taken from Golf del Sur to nearby Los Abrigos.
There are plenty of secluded beaches to sunbathe on, or you could travel up above the clouds to Tenerife's volcano, Mount Tiede.
For golf lovers there is the splendid 27 hole golf course designed by Pepe Ganecedo to be found in Golf del Sur
This features unique design touches such as black volcanic sands located in its bunkers and found naturally on the Canary Islands. There is also another golf course which is at neighbouring Armarilla Golf.
There is always plenty to do in Tenerife all year round should you wish to do so. You can take a boat trip from Los Cristianos to see the dolphins, or visit the lovely island of Gomera.The waterpark with its spectacular dolphin show and underwater viewing bays make a great day out for all the family.
There is also nearby go-karting and Loro Parque, the parrot park where the birds and animals are remarkable
Finally, next door to Parque Albatros is Winter Gardens where a relaxing game of bowls can be had.

Fly to Sofia Reina Airport (South) and take a taxi to Golf Del Sur 10 minutes away and costing approx 15 euros.l.
Flights are available from most airlines and tour operators. Available cheaper if booked on line.
Car hire can be made at Sofia Reina Airport or at a recommended shop in Golf del Sur, (ask for details).
Taxi's can be booked in reception at Royal Parque Albatros, this works out slightly cheaper then getting a taxi from the nearby taxi rank.

“A warm and relaxing winter break in a fab appartment” Having never been on a winter sun break before, it was a great experience, and one we would recommend. The weather was varied with rain now and again, but always warm and sunbathing was possible. With the Golf de sur being so close to the airport, there was some plane noise, but not excessively loud. Infact the complex was very peaceful and relaxing, suitable for all ages, but perhaps not lively enough for clubbers. Car hire was not required, we used taxis to transfer, which were convenient and reasonably priced, otherwise bus stops were literally footsteps away from our complex running regularly into bigger towns. Golf courses are close by and there are a great variety of restaurants (Chinese, mexican, Indian, Italian, English, etc) all within walking distance. We highly recommend 'The Old Mill' for their award winning fish and chips and the Mexican was something so different and so reasonably priced. The only thing that truly disappointed me was the quality of the beach in the area, which didn't appear to be used, was very small, ill equipped and unkempt. Fortunately, the Royal Parque Albatros made up for the lack of beach. It was extremely clean and well cared for, the staff were polite and always available to help. The pool size, restaurant and ammenities appeared adequate for the time of year we visited, however we never found the complex supermarket - perhaps this is closed in the winter season, even so there were enough shops close to the complex to fulfil our needs. The appartment itself was superb and lived up to everything that it stated. It was modern, clean and tidy and well equipped for our self catering needs. It easily accomodated the two of us, and very comfortably too. Sandra, the appartment owner, was approachable and helpful, only being a phone call away if we required, which helped our holiday along.

We have had a great holiday didn't want to return home! Your apartment was superb, so spacious, clean, beautifully furnished and the views and sun on your patio was amazing.
