Situated in the grounds of a private country house, up a drive of about 200 yards. It has its own peaceful, large garden, mainly grass, which is safely enclosed making it suitable for small children and dogs. (approx. 15 x 35 metres).
The tile-hung cottage is very small and was originally built in 1911 for “Willie” the coachman.
It is cosily furnished with floral country prints and colours, fitted carpets and a mixture of furniture making it a very restful place to stay. The whole estate covers an area of 28 acres and visitors have the use of part of the grounds including the hard tennis court, grass badminton court and our indoor heated swimming

Chiddingly Parish is a collection of hamlets situated a mile or two north of the A22 at Golden Cross; it lies about 5 miles east of Lewes and 5 miles west of Hailsham. Chiddingly is essentially a rural agricultural settlement covering 7 square miles of countryside, with an adult population of about 710 people.
There are 337 dwellings in the Parish, and of these about 55 have the word "Farm" in their postal address. Like Rome, it is founded upon seven hills: Burgh Hill; Thunders Hill; Holmes Hill; Scrapers Hill; Stone Hill; Pick Hill; Gun Hill. It has a Primary School; 3 Pubs; a Village Hall; a Parish Church and much else besides. The other hamlets are Golden Cross, Muddles Green & Whitesmith.
