The Queensland / Brisbane and Moreton region
Queensland has a sunny climate and has lots of fabulous beaches and hinterland areas to visit. The adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes- just south of Surfers Paradise is Broadbeach - the cosmopolitan centre of the Gold Coast. Its the cafe society of the Gold Coast with fabulous AWARD WINNING RESTAURANTS and shopping.
Good options are Moo Moo’s Across from the Sofitel hotel and Marios (Italian) located on the east side of the Oasis Centre. There are also a couple of good teppanyaki restaurants on the main strip. Room 81 at the base of the Sofitel has a wonderful degustation menu and a selection of good French champagne by the glass. Lauxes also has a nice menu with champagne by the glass. Nice breakfasts there too. There is a nice French restaurant and deli nearby also. Sopranos Restaurant, Café and Lounge Bar won acclaim for its gourmet breakfasts at the Restaurant and Catering Queensland Gold Coast Awards for Excellence.
Why not end the evening with a cup of gourmet coffee and enjoy sitting among some of the movers and shakers on the Gold Coast, Three Bean’s is one place which has a great cup of coffee.
Gold Coast / Broadbeach area
Broadbeach is home to Pacific Fair, Queensland’s largest shopping centre containing a cinema as well as over 250 speciality shops, cafes and restaurants.
Jupiters Casino is next door to Pacific Fair. There is a monorail into Broadbeach. Pacific Fair is on a bus interchange that links with buses to every tourist attraction and beach. ALL LOCATIONS CAN BE REACHED EASILY BY BUS AND ALL ARE LINKED TO BUS ROUTE 745 which has a stop just around the corner from us.
Another Major shopping centre (Q centre) 5 mins drive away with Coles , Woolworths, Aldi, Alcohol outlets, restaurants, Gourmet Organic butcher(Bermuda Butcher) , Seafood Shop, Florist, Newsagent, Chemist, Doctor, Bread shop, Bakery, Cake shop, Hairdressor and beautician.

The Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets offer a great family day out on the first and third Sunday of every month, all year round. With over 150 stalls of locally made crafts, fresh produce, preserves, cookies and cakes there is something for everyone. At Kurrawa Park right on the beach front in Broadbeach. The markets operate between 8.00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather permitting. Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is located here close to the highway and there’s also cabaret shows in this area.
Cascade Gardens is a favourite family picnic site with free electric barbecues, children's playground, canal fishing and a band rotunda with free entertainment 1st Sunday of the month. The rainforest groves provide a cool respite from the summer heat and the chance to experience a unique history trail.
There is also great fitness circuits on the beach front Kurrawa Park Albert Park in Broadbeach Waters has a central lake with bike and walking tracks.
Conrad Jupiters- 24-hour casino action spread across two massive levels.
Lantern Lit Markets- The Lantern Lit Markets are on Friday night, from September to May, at Broadbeach Plaza.
The Beach is just minutes away(3km)- the Gold Coast boasts the best beaches in the world. Broadbeach shopping area, just off the beach has children’s play equipment and fairground rides that run all year.
