Home description
The kitchen is spacious and bright with a good range of floor and wall mounted units, appliances, tiled floor, as well as a table and chairs. The living room is just off the kitchen with low beamed ceilings, a 2 seater and 3 seater sofas and 2 easy chairs, and an electric wood burner effect heater. The dining area is at the other end of the ground floor from the living room with a table and chairs and gas fire. Open tread wooden stairs (guests are advised that these stairs are steep and would not be suitable for the infirm or young children) go up to the first floor.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, (king size linen required), fitted wardrobes, beamed ceiling. The second bedroom has 2 single beds (one pulls out from below the other), a cot, wardrobe, beamed ceiling, lovely view to Downs, WC and sink. The bathroom has a panel bath, WC and sink.

The Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight has something for everyone! There are fantastic walking trails, both in land and by the sea. If you prefer the beach then you have the pick of several around the island.
If you are looking for a family day out, there are attractions all over the island, from zoos and a donkey sanctuary to Queen Victoria's favourite seaside retreat (Osbourne House) and a Roman villa.
Godshill area
The olde worlde village of Godshill is probably one of the prettiest villages on the Island. With its old Church, thatched cottages and tea rooms the village enjoys a wealth of character and charm all of which are very close to Bramble Cottage. There really is something for all the family to explore including model village, museums, gift shops, pubs and restaurants.
For couples wanting a more relaxing walking holiday there are many miles of public footpaths and countryside to explore on your doorstep. The village of Shanklin with its beaches, amusements and thatched cottages are only a short drive away, as are more secluded beaches on the south coast of the island.
How to get there
There are several ferries to get to the island. Wight Link Car & passenger service from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, a fast passenger service linked to the train timetables from Portsmouth to Ryde and a car and passenger service from Lymington to Yarmouth.
Red Funnel A fast passenger service from Southhampton to West Cowes and a car and passenger service from Southhampton to East Cowes.
Hoverspeed A hovercraft service from Portsmouth (actually Southsea linked by 5 minute bus journey to the main train station) to Ryde.
Cars can either be driven to the island or rented on the island from any of the island's several car hire companies, with most offering a service to meet you at the ferry!
There is also a bus service on the island, but a car is advisable to give you more options. Godshill is a 15-20km drive/bus journey from the ferry ports.

Further details outdoors: Steps lead up to a well established beautifully landscaped gardens to the side and rear with flower and shrub borders and lawned area and a pond (raised and netted). Garden furniture is provided with seating for 4 and there is an outside WC and sink. There is also parking for 2 cars at the front of the cottage.

Conditions
£150 deposit due to secure booking, with the rent due six weeks before your stay.
Assuming there is no damage at the property, the deposit will be refunded to you by cheque/bank transfer on the Monday after your stay.
