Villa / 3 bedrooms / sleeps 6
The property is an older style spacious Spanish villa , that has been refurbished and equipped with all modern conveniences. We do stress that the villa is in a rural setting. It is not on a complex and is therefore quiet and private with stunning views. The villa is positioned about 20Klms from Valencia city centre in the hills surrounding the village of Godeletta, which is itself roughly 12Klms from Bunol (TOMATINO) and roughly 10Klms from Cheste ( MOTO GP).
Inside it offers a large lounge with log burning fire, ample seating with two large sofas and several single chairs. The lounge has a wall mounted flat screen Satellite TV and DVD. The "chill out" area has a sofa, additional TV/DVD, PlayStation, MP3 dock, books and games.
3 large comfortable bedrooms, 1 bedroom has a TV and DVD.The villa has a well equipped kitchen, separate dinning room.
The villa has a modern bathroom with shower and bath. The villa is tucked away up in the hills outside Valencia City and is set in approximately one acre of private gardens and terraces.
Outside it has a large private pool and additional outside cooking facilities, either via the paellaro or the brick built Bar-B-Q. The villa is laid out on 3 levels, the upper level has the villa itself, large private pool, paellaro, Bar-B-Q area with seating, laundry room and patios, with plenty of space for sunbathing, eating outside or letting the children (and grown ups) play games. There are plenty of chairs tables and loungers for eating out or sunbathing. The second level has private parking and some almond, walnut and fig trees. The third level has orange, olive, apple, plum, lemon and almond trees. The villa offers a peaceful and relaxing holiday for all age groups along with plenty of space for children to play, either by the pool or around the grounds, but also has the added attraction of the city of Valencia with it's shops, nightlife and beaches only a short drive away.
In addition to the traditional Spanish shops, restaurants and bars in the village, there are three supermarkets within a 5 minute drive of the villa as well as a local garage/mini supermarket and restaurant close by which is open on a Sunday . Also a number of fantastic beaches. bars, restaurants, cafe's in nearby villages and towns.

The climate is good all year round. The coolest months are Nov - Feb ( 16 deg day cold night) the other months of the year are warm in spring and autumn and very hot in summer.
Valencia is Spains 3rd City steeped in history it has a fantastic sandy beach linned with bars and restaurants and some of the best archtecture to be seen in Spain. It has its own bullring, countless museums and art galleries, Just built is the Science Park and L'Oceanografic and a world famous covered market.
Eating out is an experience, you can choose from fantastic cheap Tapas bars to sofisticated restautants and everything in between. If you like football there are 2 world class teams in the area, Valencia and Villa Real.
The house is situated less than 10 minutes drive from the moto GP circuit where superbikes, moto GP and world touring cars race. Valencia used to host a round of the FIA Formula One World Championships, and the house is perfect for seeing how, due to the grand prix the old town and docks have been transformed into fantastic parks, beach side walks, restaunts and shops.
15 minutes drive from the house is one of Spains largest shopping malls catering for all tastes and a huge hypermarket where you can buy all your provisions including excelent local wine, cheaper than duty free. If you prefer, the village(Godeletta) is aprox 1Km away, it has several good shops selling fresh produce, also there is a large modern supermarket just outside the village.
In August there is the famous Tomato festival in Bunol, (a must). For the Golfers, there is a world class golf couse (El Bosque) less than 3 km away. In March Valencia has a week of festivals where the whole city is alive 24/7 with street parades and parties.
The whole area is famous for its festivals, too many to list but a good visitors guide will list them all (provided at the Villa). The city has a fantastic beach lined with excellent restaurants and Tapas bars. Valencia also boasts a very fine Zoo, Art Gallaries and Museums and it's world famous L'Oceanagrafic Sealife Centre, all conveniently located on or around the new science park area of the "dry riverbed" and most within walking distance of each other.

"Fantastic views and a real 'home' near Valencia"
We have recently returned from our holiday and can say without any doubt that the villa was better than expected. The pictures (especially the view) do not do it justice. We went with 5 adults and 3 ch… More

"Great holiday villa, would highly recommend"
Me and my husband have just returned from a weeks stay at villa espana. I must admit having read the previous review we were a little apprehensive about our stay. However i can assure anyone that these issues did not exist on our stay. There is a brand new screen by the pool ensuring total privacy and a brand new brick BBQ by the side of the villa. The oven worked perfectly cooking a lovely roast dinner. The beds are basic but perfectly comfortable for a good nights sleep. The views are outstanding and the shops are only a short drive. I would highly recommend the villa to couples or families wanting to get away for a relaxed, peaceful Spanish holiday.

"Only if on a Buget"
I was disappointed in our stay. The oven did not work, the bar-ba-que grill was stored with 2 inches of water, aiding in it's already rusting bottom. The pool lounge cushions were moldy we did not ever try and use them. The white patio set was rusty and one chair seat was just about rusted out. There were no lids for any of the pots, and the kitchen sink was very difficult to use with the way the faucet was arranged. The bed was a mattress on springs, and the sheets nor the wool blankets fit properly. Not a comfortable arrangement. Although the pool was a private one, there is a house less than 50 meters from the pool with a full view of the pool and patio. To me this negates any privacy. The hot water in the shower was difficult to manage making taking showers a chore. The villa is high up providing a nice view, but very breezy. We stayed the first week of May and it was never warm enough to go swimming. But the pool was in good shape.
The location is a good one in relation to touring Valencia. The orange trees were full and fresh orange juice was a plus.
Firstly, thank you for your review. We will take all your views on board but we find some of them slightly harsh. Any visitor staying at the villa, and we have had almost, 70 families stay over the past 9 years have found it perfect for the type of holiday they want. It is not a 5 star luxury villa on a complex, it is a modernised Spanish farmhouse set in its own grounds in a very rural part of Spain.
Some of the problems the last quests encountered were, we think a bit harsh. The oven does work, it is not new and needs time to light. The Bar-B-Q may have had water in it, it does rain in Spain! we have lots of chairs for the poolside and over the winter some of the seat covers may have got mouldy, they will be replaced immediately. I admit that some of our pots do not have lids!!!!! the kitchen has a shallow sink but perfectly adequate. The hot water is regulated by a boiler and mixer taps for the shower and we have never had any complaints. There is a villa next door but there is a fence between the two properties and an additional screen is being put up for this summer, but the villa is only occupied for a few weekends a year. I'm afraid we cant control the weather!
We are very sorry that the last quests did not enjoy their stay but this is the first complaint we have had in years of renting it out and as long as you realise what you are renting and where it is located i.e. a large older style Spanish villa in private grounds in rural Spain, you will have a fantastic holiday as many have in the past and will continue to in the future. In fact some of our guests come back year after year.

"Superb for a Quiet Relaxing Break with easy access to Valcencia"
We followed the directions from the airport provided by the owners, and a short time later, with no drama or head scratching we pulled up at Villa Espana. The single storey villa enjoys a beautiful hillside location with stunning views of the surrounding farms and countryside that can be enjoyed from one of the terraces.
We found the Villa clean and tidy and ready for us to start enjoying our holiday.
It is ideally located close enough to the main roads so you don't get lost, but far enough away so it's nice and quiet. Just a few minutes drive from the local village and in easy reach of the supermarket, various resturants, the airport and Valencia Town with its stunning beaches.
If your thing is F1 or Moto GP Villa Espana will be a very convinient base as they are both also within easy reach.
The villa has everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. Some days we used it as a base and headed off to see the sites and some days we just stayed put and enjoyed the pool, the sun and some fresh fruit and nuts from the trees in its grounds.
All in all a great location for recharging the batteries but without getting bored. We will book again to stay here again.
Many thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed your stay.
