About the home

The Villa is located on a pineclad hillside overlooking the picturesque harbour village of Gocek, which is a 20 minute flat walk away. Built to a high specification over three floors, the villa benefits from its own private landscaped garden and shares a pool (with baby pool) with 7 similar villas. In addition the complex has a further 3 communal pools for guest use. A stunning sailboat houses the indoor pool (please check with owners for availability). Outside there is a floodlit tennis court, basketball and a children's play area.

The fully air conditioned villa has an open plan living/dining area and a spacious balcony furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one kingsize, one double and one twin bedroom (all with en suite facilities) the villa is perfect for families and ideally situated on the beautiful Turquoise Coast, with its stunning beaches, Lycian history and pretty towns to explore.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

South-west Turkey offers one of the most spectacular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean - scenically beautiful, with unspoilt beaches and an astonishingly rich legacy of archeologic ruins and historic sites. The summer season runs from May through to the end of October, but the winters are relatively mild and it is not uncommon to experience temperatures in excess of 20 degrees during the "winter" months whilst looking up at the snow capped mountains!

The Gocek area

Göcek is an exclusive yachting harbour village, located on the southwest Turquoise Coast of Turkey. It has maintained its qualities as a charming and rustic traditional fishing village. However, you will find that Göcek has all the facilities you would expect from a much larger, busier resort. There is a wide range of laid back bars and stylish quayside restaurants, where you will find a fantastic choice of fresh fish, meat and vegetables. There are also many designer shops and interesting craft shops and stalls. You get the best of both worlds when staying here. There is no mass tourism, crowded streets, noisy nightlife and high storey buildings. It is a very clean, relaxed and friendly village with spectacular mountain and sea views.
Beautiful quiet beaches are only 10 minutes drive away. One way to enjoy local beaches is to take a short boat trip, or boat taxi, from the harbour around the spectacular 12 islands. Each tiny island offers unique, breathtaking surroundings of crystal clear sea and secluded coves, some which benefit from summer breezes and shading amongst olive trees and ancient ruins.
Further afield the much photographed Blue Lagoon beach at Olu Deniz is a forty minute drive, as is the famous Turtle Beach/Iztuzu Beach near Dalyan. A little closer is the unspoilt beach in Sarigerme, which has plenty of shade under the trees and is excellent for watersports.
The area is rich in history and there are many Lycian sites to visit within an hour’s drive, including Tlos, Pinara, Letoon and Kaunos. Nature lovers can enjoy walking, hiking, mountain biking, jeep safaris and horse riding. Saklikent Gorge is a day trip not to be missed and offers a cool refuge on hot summer days. The Mud baths and Thermal baths in Dalyan are also well worth a visit. Beauty Mud not only cleanses and tones the skin but is said to remedy rheumatism and has anti-ageing properties.
The bustling town of Fethiye is a 30 minute drive – here there are plenty of shops, bars and nightlife. Although much more “touristy” than Gocek it is still a far cry from resorts such as Marmaris and Antalya. There is a small waterpark and plenty to do and see along the waterfront. There are also spectacular sunsets at Calis Beach, just north of the town.
There is something for everyone here – relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or explore one of the Mediterranean’s hidden gems – it is up to you!

“Perfect location for a fabulously relaxing holiday” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. It is decorated and equipped to a very high standard and was absolutely perfect for our family of 6. The complex is quiet and beautifully maintained with lovely pools and an empty tennis court. The villa itself is within a short drive, 25 minute easy walk of the lovely harbour village of Gocek . It is an ideal place for exploring this beautiful part of Turkey with ample opportunities for boat trips, beaches and visiting historic sites depending on your taste. In addition if you recommend a friend and this results in a successful booking we will send a cheque for £30 on receipt of the full holiday payment. These offers remain at the owner's discretion.
