About the home

Villa Serenity is a superb 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom luxury villa with fantastic Sea views and private pool to the front, and the beautiful backdrop of the pine clad mountains behind and yet only a 2 minute drive to the Sea front.

This very spacious villa has full air conditioning, mosquito screens on all windows and doors and is furnished to a very high standard and thoughtfully equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your well earned holiday.

The villa is on a small private complex of just 8 luxury villas, the villa has its own private pool, sun terrace, BBQ and shaded veranda, there are plenty of sunbeds for you to relax on around the pool while you top up your tan and take in the beautiful view of Gocek Bay

The villa is spaciously laid out over 4 floors, the ground floor is open plan with a large lounge, separate dining area and fully fitted kitchen. From the kitchen or lounge you can access the villa's large L shaped shaded veranda with views out over the bay, here you can sit and enjoy some alfresco dining or simply relax with a glass of wine in the evening.

The villa offers you the best of both worlds it is a beautiful place to relax in the peace and quiet around the pool, yet only a 10-15min walk into the village of Gocek with its many restaurants and comfortable bars along the sea front.

On the first floor you will find 2 twin bedrooms, family bathroom and a master bedroom with en-suite. Take the stairs to the second floor and you will find a master bedroom suite with fitted wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom.

There is a large basemant area where you will find the utility room and a TV/DVD/Playstation, Darts board, Table Tennis and a corner for the kids to relax in. A selection of books and games can also be found in the games room area.

Further details outdoors:
The areas around the villa are mainly laid to lawn with various shrubs.
In the pool area you will find an outside shower unit, sunbeds, parasols and terrace lighting so you can still sit out in the evening heat.
There is a built in BBQ on the veranda of the villa for you to enjoy alfresco dining.
Car parking area should you hire a car.

N.B Swimming Pool is not operational from the 31st October - 1st May

Fresh sheets and bathroom towels will be provided for each guest.

A maid service will exchange the bedding and towels mid stay on all 2 week bookings.

There are so many things to see and do in this part of Turkey below is just a few things available to you to do all on the doorstep or within a 45min drive or Dolmus ride away.

Snorkelling, Turkish Baths, Sailing. Paragliding, Fishing, Quad Biking, Horse Riding, Historic Sites, Diving, Aqa-Park, Jeep Safari, Gulet Cruise.

You will find a number of leaflets in the villa with various activities or you can visit the booking office in Gocek village where you will find lots more.

No Glasses Or Bottles Are To Be Used Around The Pool Area For Safety Reasons.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required at time of booking to secure dates, balance payable 6 weeks before departure along with a security deposit of £250 (refunded within 21 days if no breakages/damages reported).

It is the hirers responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance to cover all eventualities for all member of the party.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

If you are visiting Turkey for the first time you are in for a wonderful surprise, you will be truly amazed by some of the most dramatic scenery Turkey has to offer. Sparkling turquoise seas, endless golden sun kissed beaches, bathed in sunshine for over 300 days a year, green pine forest covered mountains and local Turkish hospitality that is second to none.

This area of Turkey has some of the most beautiful beaches with many of them flying the coveted European Union's Blue Flag, awarded for their health, safety and amenities.

There are lots of sights to see; Saklikant gorge, Lycian tombs, Kaya Koyu ghost town, Butterfly Valley, Olu-Deniz lagoon, Cleopatras baths, or why not just book on a Jeep safari or one of the many boat cruises available from this part of the coast.

There is so much to see and do in this area that you will fall in love with its tranquillity and want to keep coming back for more that's why this part of Turkey is an ideal family holiday with loads to do for both children & adults!

The Gocek area

Göcek is located at the Northwest end of the Gulf of Fethiye and is blessed with magnificent scenery. Backed by majestic mountains and substantial pine forests it looks out over the Twelve Islands, which provide shelter for Gocek's almost circular bay that has made the village such a perfect, natural harbour.

For most part of the year, well known celebrities and yachts head towards Göcek to discover this hidden paradise. On certain days of the year the centre hosts festivals, where the cafés and restaurants are the heart and soul of social activity.

Perhaps this explains Göcek's impressive range of facilities for a place that remains so blissfully unspoiled without the hint of mass-market tourism. All along the wide, landscaped promenade that fringes the quay side, there are plenty of eateries, from simple cafés to excellent restaurants specializing in delicious fresh fish. In the back streets and around the old village square by the mosque, there is a surprising array of designer shops, local bars and some interesting local craft shops.

From the sea front you can take a gulet boat trip around the Twelve Islands or catch a water taxi to Göcek's beaches, the nearest of which lies just a little further around the bay or to one of the many secluded beaches of the 12 Islands. The local people of Göcek are very charming, friendly and very hospitable, they will always go out of there way to make you very welcome.

The main bustling town of Fethiye is about 25Km further around the coast, this is very much a Typical Turkish town with its array of fishing boats along the front and its bazar like shops just of the main promande. Here you can also experience the biggest traditional Turkish Market in this region every Tuesday.

You can travel to Fethiye eiher by boat from Gocek or the scenic coast road by car or local Dolmus bus (great fun) of which you can catch at the bottom of the lane to the villa.

Villa Serenity is only a 20 minute drive from Dalaman Airport. Many budget Airlines such as Easy Jet, FlyThomascook, Thompson Fly, Onur Air and many more fly to Dalaman from a large number of airports (see owner website for full details).

We can arrange transfers to and from the villa for you if required.
Car hire can be arranged via our Managemant Company for collection at Airport or delivered to villa, alternatively there are a selection of Car Hire companies available at Dalaman Airport.

“WOW!!” The photographs don't do it justice, the villa is fantastic! With two teenage daughters, each having their own bedrooms and bathrooms, (one ensuite!), my wife and I were only too pleased to retire to the master suite on the top floor! We went in July, when the outside temperature was hitting into the 40's, so the air conditioning throughout was welcomed. The basement area easily catered for us to escape the midday sun lazing by the pool, when a welcome table tennis tournament would ensue, or a F1 Grand Prix on the Playstation. A few evenings were spent on the terrace (and in the pool!) after cooking indoors or on the barbeque. The town, a reasonable walk, was best done in the evening, as we discovered, once the sun was setting, a taxi back, especially if you've visited one of the resonably priced supermarkets, is advised as it's pretty dark around the villa. Please don't expect nightclubs,Gocek is not that sort of place, but there is plenty of entertainment to suit all locally. Our favourite restaurants were Blue, West Cafe and Lotus, but you'll find plenty of little cafes offering a welcome EFS and a toastie for next to nothing! Out and about there are plenty to do, what with the choice of boat trips and the opportunity to visit nearby towns and resorts, but for me, it's welcoming getting back to relaxing Gocek. One trip worth trying is the free shuttle by speed boat to the beach club, entarance fee applies, but its great to get there, relax, enjoy the music, the calmness and look back towards Gocek across the bay. The locals will get to know you and are very welcoming, what with this, the town and the villa, we'd a fantastic holiday. If it helps to make your decision for you, we have every intention of going back.

“Chill, relax and take in the breathtaking views from this wonderful villa” We have a fantastic week in this villa. It's a very easy drive from Dalaman airport and we had no problems finding it (can't say that about all the villas we've stayed in!!!). The villa was superbly equipped with everything we could possibly have wanted or needed during our stay and set up on a hill giving wonderful views across the bay. The games room in the basement was much enjoyed by young and old nd remained wonderfully cool even in the heat of the day. We loved Gocek, it's a very relaxed and easy place to wander around in with a good choice of restaurants. The little shop on the end of the road was great for our every day needs - we carried our shopping back but the extremely helpful owners always tried to persuade us to let them deliver it. Quite a walk up the hill from Gocek, not for the infirm, but well worth it and didn't cause our party any problems (aged from 10 to somewhere the wrong side of 50!) Excellent value for money and somewhere we would definitely like to return to.

“A stunning villa, wonderful location, really peaceful area” Villa Serenity is the best villa we have stayed in. The accomodation was perfect- spacious, beautifully furnished and in a great location with stunning views. The games room was a huge hit with teenage lads - table tennis being played in the small hours. Gocek is a lovely area, very unspoilt and incredibly quiet. The restaurants offer excellent value for money serving lovely food and wine. Plenty to do in the local area...we didnt hire a car but had day trips organised by the Management Company. Would I return? Yes .....although temperatures in the High 30's could be a little too warm for some! Air con in the villa helped!

The villa was everything we wanted, Ian & Mandy have furnished and equipped the villa with everything a family would ever need. The children spent every waking minute in the pool or the games room, allowing us to also have a relaxing holiday. Mehmet was fantastic and arranged many great days out for us which we thoroughly enjoyed, he could not do enough for us as guests (by the way he loves Raki).

Fantastic villa, the view from the terrace is beautiful we did not want to leave it, despite being out of season (Dec) still a few bars open the locals were very friendly. We had everything we needed we will defiantly return in the summer - Ali & Dave London.

The Villa was great and in a beautiful setting, the kids loved the pool & games room. Gocek is fantastic one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time - Derek & Lesley Derby.

First time we have done a villa holiday so unsure what to expect , we would highly recommend Serenity. We had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble for Ian (owner) he had organised our hire car for us and gave us plenty of information on what there is to do locally and where to go, the villa was spottless and so spacious. Hotels are a thing of the past we will be booking with Ian for 2010 - Brilliant holiday - Eamonn & Mandy Peterborough.
