Villa Grande-Olive is suitable for large or multiple families or for people who just like some space around them. The site is well run, secure with 24hr security and cctv and has many attractive plants and shrubs.
Gocek has a thriving Sunday market, people come from miles around there is fresh local produce and many other stalls selling spices and a host of other items.
There is a beach within 10-15 mins drive There is a beach club at Club Marina which has a FREE ferry service from Skopea Marina there are many Gulet trips around the beautiful 12 islands of Gocek bay, there is a ferry to Gocek Adasi(Island) beach, from the Belidye (Town) Marina it's a short trip. Refreshments are available at both.
Further afield there is Saklikent Gorge which has spectacular waterfalls and rapids coming down from the Taurus mountains, it's possible to go several km along the gorge on foot. There are also large rubber rings you can float for several kms.down river quite exhilarating on a hot day.
Near Saklikent are the ruins of Tlos and Xanthos a large roman settlement.
Ephesus one of the seven wonders of the world and is about 2.5 to 3Hrs north this is a very large Roman and earlier city and is well worth the trip take water and good shoes,

The Villa has 3 floors, the basement has 2 double en-suite bedrooms and 2 twin bedded rooms and a showerroom, the middle floor has the living space with a large living room; spacious Kitchen with most appliances and a dining terrace off; a good sized dining room with terrace off, handy from the pool shower room with WC etc. The upper floor has two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms there is an abundance of wardrobe and cupboard space throughout the villa.
Virtually all the furniture was new in 2011.

Pools: Apart from our own private pool there are two fabulous pools within 60 mtrs both have toddler pools and generally these pools are very quiet when we've been there. There are 2 further shared pools a little further away.
We have a Tennis and Basketball court on site, this is all weather and can be floodlit in the evening.
There is also a childrens play park with climbing frames, swings etc.
Unusually and fourtunately, the site has it's own Generator and reserve water supply, the area can and does suffer from power and water outages from time to time.
The garden has Bourgainvillea, Wisterias, Roses and many other shrubs also Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Pomegranite, Peach and Bananas, you are welcome to try any that are ripe.
We have 2 Tourtoises Jack And Jill, Jack is the larger and male.
It is normally possible to park right outside the Villa there are only 2 steps from car to house.
There is a barbeque available just ask our managers.
The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise coast, the Turkish Riviera has some of the most spectacular views with pine forested mountains going down to the sea beautiful bays and coves and Islands it is well worth going on a 12 island trip by Gulet from Gocek harbour you will appreciate the beauty of the area much more.
The Lycian region has a very long history going back before the Romans there are many sites of historical interest

There is a beach at Inlice within 10-15 mins drive a little further there Katranci both towards Fethiye, near Dalaman is Sarigerme a very long samdy beach.

Further afield about an hours drive there is Saklikent Gorge which has spectacular waterfalls and rapids coming down from the Taurus mountains it's 18km long and 300m deep, it's possible to go several km along the gorge on foot. There are also large rubber rings you can float several kms.down river quite exhilerating on a hot day.
Near Saklikent are the ruins of Tlos and Xanthos a large roman settlement. Dalyan is about 45mins in the other direction and has many possible boat tours on the river and to Kaunos another Roman settlement
Fethiye with it's Souk and large market and many shops is 25km along what will be one of the most spectacular new roads in the world, through the mountains and along the coast It's nearing completion Aug 2012. There are frequent inexpensive dolmus or bigger buses to the local beaches and Fethiye and most places in the area
There are two sailing regattas in Gocek one in May the other in November.
Gulets can be hired for a sail round the bay or for a week or more.
If you have a sailing qualification charter a Yacht and explore the area, many people combine a week or so on land and the same on a yacht or Gulet there is huge choice of Yachts having the worlds two largest charter companies in Gocek plus many others if this is your first time in the area we can help, .
These are just a few ideas there many more things to do and see. It is possible to do most of this without a car there are many organised tours as well as the local buses the main roads are mostly new dual carriageway. The traffic is very light compared to the UK.
