About the home

Gocek is an exclusive yachting harbour village on the south west Turquoise coast of Turkey, in a small valley amongst the spectacular Taurus Mountains. A beautiful, tranquil, unspoilt resort between Fethiye and Dalyan. The cosmopolitan market town of Fethiye is only 30 minutes car drive away. Dalaman airport is only approx. 20 minutes easy drive away. Gocek has maintained its qualities as a charming and rustic traditional fishing village with all the facilities expected from a much larger resort. There is no mass tourism, crowded streets, noisy nightlife or high storey buildings. It is very clean, friendly and relaxed. An array of excellent, stylish quayside restaurants, laid-back bars and craft shops are situated along the beautiful pedestrianised streets and landscaped waterfront promenade. To enjoy local beaches just take a short boat trip from the harbour around the spectacular 12 Islands with breathtaking surroundings of crystal clear sea and secluded coves. Relaxing, luxury holiday!

Luxury detached villa with private pool and large garden with fruit trees. Set in an idyllic pine forest setting. Villa has air conditioning and is very well furnished throughout. 2 large bedrooms with balcony, a spacious lounge, fully equipped modern kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The villa has 2 large poolside terraces - one terrace is closed to provide shaded outside comfort and is equipped for outdoor eating. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has twin beds and an under bed. The villa sleeps a maximum of 5 people. The villa is fully equipped and is really a 'home from home'. All linen, towels and beach towels are provided. There is a large selection of DVDs and books. Central heating and lovely open fire in lounge.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The villa is located in Gocek which is a short drive from Dalaman aiport and close to Fethiye, Olu Deniz and Dalyan.

The Gocek area

12 Islands boat trip highly recommended, as is a visit to Dalyan to see the ancient Lycian rock tombs and to visit the famous thermal mud baths. Fethiye has a very large outdoor market every Tuesday. Gocek has a smaller market every Sunday which is great for clothes and food (try a local cheese and spinach pancake with Turkish tea as you browse around under shade).

“A luxury villa in a beautiful and quiet resort.” The villa was all that it was advertised to be. Gocek is a pretty resort, but was very quiet at this time of the year. A car is essential and there are many places to visit and things to do. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and everyone was so friendly.

“Had a great time” The property was set in pine trees with a mountain back drop. The setting was so peacefull and the village of Gocek was ideal, no Macdonnalds or KFC just great local restuarants. We never hired a car just used local taxis and buses to get around (very cheap). Hope to return one day. Would recommend.
