About the home

150 year old traditional stone cottage. Modern large well equipped kitchen diner. Comfortable lounge with wood burner and views to the garden. Three well furnished bedrooms; one 5ft bed, one 4ft 6in bed, one single bed. Family bathroom with shower over. All bed linen and towels provided.Lots of "extras" to make your stay enjoyable, such as toiletries, fresh flowers, magazines and kitchen essentials. Modern central heating. Period features throughout yet no low beams. Pretty cottage garden over 100ft long with outdoor seating, fruit trees, barbecue area. Shed suitable as playhouse or bike store. The village farm shop offers local produce, breakfast and barbecue supplies. Kings Head pub and Bowden Hall are both 1/2 mile away. Ideally located for walkers and cyclists with access to Cotswold Way. Centrally located for Regency Cheltenham and Cheltenham racecourse , the city of Gloucester with its beautiful Cathedral and The Quays , dry ski-slope and nearby golf courses. Also not far to the picturesque Cotswolds and Forest of Dean, it is also a peaceful location ideal for unwinding.

Bondend Holiday Cottage comfortably caters for 5, including china, cutlery and glass ware. A welcome tea tray is ready for your arrival and a breakfast pack for your first morning can be purchased by arrangement.

We provide a basket of logs for the woodburner.

A single dog can be accommodated by arrangement but not allowed in the main house.

Car parking in the lane adjacent to house and car drop off at the rear door but please do not restrict neighbours' access. Alternative pedestrian access at the front of the house and access to the garden.

Booking deposit payable of one third of the total rental is payable on booking unless date of stay is less than four weeks ahead in which case full amount is payable. A security deposit of £150 must be made with your final payment on or before 21 days prior to your stay and will be returned once the property is checked for damage and losses. A complete inventory of contents is provided.
An extra £25 will be charged for accommodation of a single dog which is to be confined to the annex porch. If no trace of the dog is detectable after the rental period this deposit will be returned.

If cancellation is made before full balance is paid then booking deposit less £50 administration fee will be returned. If cancellation is made after payment of full balance, the full balance will be paid minus the deposit unless the cottage is re-let in which case all but £50 administration fee will be returned.

Please leave the cottage clean and tidy.

“Perfect!” A former Gloucestershire resident I travelled back to visit friends from the area. I stayed for one week and the cottage was everything I had hoped for. It gave me a great base for getting around and also allowed me the opportunity to have friends visit me. The cottage itself was ideal, well maintained, clean and fresh. A fresh Flower arrangement was my welcome - a seriously nice touch. Attention to detail by the owners went a long way to making my stay Perfect. One caution - if booking from overseas or even Scotland get the banking arranged in good time. I was in Scotland when I booked and the banks there could not do the booking transfer for me in good enough time. Once across the border it was fine.Again though throughout the process the owners were a delight to deal with.

“A lovely break!!” Just returned from a lovely break. Cottage was lovely and clean. Lots of extras such as dishwasher tabs,washing up liquid,shampoo, soap, clingfilm e.t.c.Every utensil you would need. Loved the homemade cake, tea, coffee and hot chocolate left for our arrival. Also the welcome pack for £10 was excellent we had the bacon, sausages and egg with toast for breakfast..Also milk and butter. All from the local farm. Comfy beds,our daughter loved the teddy in the single room! Beautiful bed linen and lovely fluffy towels! We used the log fire every night instead of central heating so we could toast marshmallows!Very cozy. Very helpful neighbour who gave us a basket of his logs! Good location we visited the Forest of Dean, Clearwell caves, Puzzlewood, and Bourton on the Water. Will definitely return and recommend to our friends!
