Have just had a week at Glenmidge Smithy cottage, it is spacious, comfortable ,clean and warm (central heating plus a wood burning stove) we watched Red squirrels every day in the garden area. Hamish & Margaret are most helpful. My husband went fishing and I went on walks from the cottage.
Would recommend this cottage for a quiet peaceful holiday, Dumfries is only 15 minutes away by car.

Stayed for 3 nights over new year. cottage is a real home from home. Very peacefull and fantastic surroundings and views. If you are lucky to ge a clear night you have to go outside and see the stars. Breathtaking. Wonderfull walks great for taking the dog. Although the cottage is in a very quiet location you are only a few miles drive into dumfries town centre. We will certainly be back.. Very comfortable beds
